I like Cenk's passion. He had a guest on today who shared an idea Cenk liked about giving all taxpayers $1000 instead of continuing the tax breaks for the rich. Once again she suggested that it arrive as a check. Once again I'd like to suggest that rebates to taxpayers like this one, if given, should be given as a cash card. If it comes that way, it is much more likely to be spent! And any that isn't spent remains on the government books, instead of gathering dust. Why am I the only one who seems to have thought of this!??

As much as I agree with his views, hes an armenian genocide denier, so I definitely won't be watching. This will probably end up getting removed, whatever, can't change facts.

Well deserved!

His perspective when he anchors (or contributes) on MSNBC is way more fascinating than the usual buttoned down suits. The man says it like it is! And he always is the only reason for me to turn on the TV at that time of the hour...nothing else does it.

One frustrating point though. Because he is now traveling to NY more often (TYT is situated in LA) his web show definitely suffers. I've watched many during his absence and its not as good.

They've made the effort to rectify it by having Cenk broadcast via Skype (with Ana Kasparian hosting) but it just doesn't work. Cenk takes an understandable backseat via Skype and so the program becomes quite dull. Ana, i love ya, but Cenk is just very unique and can't be recreated via Skype. He needs to be in the studio with his crew.

This might explain why recently they've shifted towards using Ben Menkwitz more often as head host. Surprisingly, Ben is very witty and politically knowledgeable and so i feel more comfortable with him as lead while having Ana remain as gossip host.

Cenk announced today that he will be on MSNBC in all of November and will be doing double duty hosting @ 4PM and 6PM est on Wednesday (or Thursday..cant remember).

He is getting wealthier, at least! And even announced a new studio makeover is in the works..something that has been desperately needed.

Stay True TYT!

Adding to my two other comments on this thread: The more I think of if, the more it seems to me that an hour of TYT (news not gossip) on MSNBC is a good idea. There's nothing like it on TV, and we need the spirit of it like fresh water. Seems to me a much better idea than Cenk in a suite and tie, not able to release the cracken or git or tell Randy Gonzalez and just generelly be himself. I think a program like that where Cenk can be Cenk, and with a name like The Young Turks has the potential of creating a very wide base. There is thirst for that kind of show on TV. Can you imaginge what a show like that could do?

an hour of Thom Hartmann.

Thom Hartmann followed by TYT on MSNBC. How does that sound? And each can have the other as a guest on their show sometimes.

Now go git and release the cracken!

MSNBC, of course. Can't imagine what MSNBA would be like.

Cenk is tremendous and will be a great asset to MSNBA. Smart, informed, and fearlessly opinionated, he has shone as a substitute host. Any chance he could take the insufferable Tweety's place permanently?

Does this mean that the Ed Show is on its way out? They are both very good.

A thought - how about broadcasing The Young Turks (let's say an hour of it every day. With only the REAL news and not the gossip parts) every day? So Cenk can be his complete free TYT self on MSNBC? With all the kracken, Of Cooooooooooooorse etc? I tink it has the potential of having huge apeal.

Oh, and tell your neighbours, tell your friends, and for the love of God - DON'T FORGET TO TELL RANDY GOZALEZ!

And please MSNBC (repeating myself) - have a show with Thom Hartmann. PLEASE.

Not asking for much. Is it?

Cenk is absolutely outstanding and is exactly what MSNBC needs! The man has spine and will be able to push Dems to have backbone instead of being a run of the mill water carrier. Great pickup MSNBC.

Now, if we can only get MSNBC to pick up Thom Hartmann it would be an absolute powerhouse. Hartmann already has about 3 million dedicated listeners. I doubt the parent company, NBC, would approve of Hartmann's immense information about corporate personhood though.

Well the absolute parent company is GE, but NBC might not like Hartmann either.

FINALLY! Cenk is an enormously great asset to MSNBC. Thank you MSNBC execs, for making a sound decision.

Adding Thom Hartmann wouldn't hurt, either. ;-)

Viewership might skyrocket to 16 this week. Congrats

I'm sure Thom Hartmann's 3 million listeners would help if he would be added. Liberals don't like some talking head telling them what to think nearly to the extend that conservatives do. Liberals read.

Way to go! And if anybody at MSNBC is reading this - please add Thom Hartmann too. We need him there.

Congratulations Cenk.

Welcome Cenk! He's been great on "The Young Turks" for a long time now. Nice to see he's made it to the Bigs.
