One Wisconsin Now Encourages Voters To 'Turn Off The Hate. Get Out The Vote' (VIDEO)

Turn Off The Hate

Progressive group One Wisconsin Now is out with a new web ad encouraging people to counteract the voting enthusiasm coming from Tea Party groups, conservative TV and radio show devotees, Sarah Palin fans, "not-witches," homophobes, birthers, bad spellers, and Republicans by heading to the polls.

Though early voting numbers in some states have appeared promising for Democrats, the latest polling numbers still show them suffering from a massive enthusiasm deficit, especially among the party's youth.

A recent Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll showed Democrats trailing Republicans by 20 points or more in questions about their enthusiasm for casting a ballot in this year's election.

As part of their attempt to get out the vote, One Wisconsin Now is combating what they claim to be a massive voter suppression and caging scandal in Wisconsin, allegedly being coordinated by the state's Republican apparatus and other third-party groups.

The above ad is the only ad the Democrats should be running. It's the best I've ever seen.

Wow, finally! Thank you Dems... it's about time to take out the aluminum bat and swing for the bleachers baby.... reminds me of when Dr. Dean was running things... those were the days!

Why do Dems always have to be "persuaded' to vote? If you have any sense at all
you know election day is coming. If you don't know then maybe you shouldn't be voting.

We're the loud, vociferous crazy family that cannot agree on pretty much anything. Getting Dems to fall in line is like herding cats. All that passion, education and independent thinking does not a goose-stepping ideological party make. Therein lies the best and worst things about the Democratic party.

I really hope the MSM keeps pushing the "enthusiasm gap" myth. It seems to be paying off well for Dems so far (tighter polls, better campaign ads, promising early vote totals)!

I agree, at first it kind of ticked me off, now I see the method to the madness. I think it also riles independents. That an NO body can stand the Pee-li-ban... come on, show of hands, who would really like to see their megaphones and microphones stripped away? Enough already! Yeesh.

You're kidding, right, samtee? Have you ever seen a Progressive at a rally, hinting at violence ("I came unarmed--THIS TIME!")? Have you ever seen a Progressive scream at duly-elected officials (HCR town meetings) ? Have you ever heard a Progressive disrespect the President during the State of the Union ("You lie!")? Sorry pal, but most of the hate is spewing from your side of the aisle.

Great ad. Good to use their own quotes plainly and clearly.

Great Ad. It makes you think and makes it really simple. Just VOTE people. It's us against them. Don't let them win. It's such a cliche' but every vote counts and it really does matter.

As for "caging" (purposely trying to mislead people so they couldn't vote. For ex: official looking notices tellingg people that republicans vot on Tuesday and democrats vote on Wednesday; if you have parking tickets you can't vote or convincing out of state college students they can't vote for the purpose of hijaking an election and winning by nefarious means) should be prosectuted for treason!
