This really only makes sense. If glass making material is in short supply it only seems logical to reuse broken vessels in other works. I wish we thought the same way about plastic and glass these days. We have plenty of plastic and glass in landfills to reuse forever; there's no need to make new product. We could truly begin to clean up our environment by simply reusing what we have now.
