Amid new polls showing Jerry Brown as much as 13 points ahead of Meg Whitman entering the final week of the California Governor's race, Meg has released a new ad with a markedly different, and unusual, tone. In it, Whitman appears to cast herself as the lesser of two evils in the "unhappy choice" voters will face next Tuesday:
"I know many of you see this election as an unhappy choice betwen a longtime politician with no plan for the future and a billionaire with no government experience."
Time will tell if her appeal to voters' frustration comes too late in the campaign to mitigate the lingering effects of the questions surrounding Whitman's employment of an undocumented worker which have surfaced in recent weeks.
