I want you to apologize for tanking last year's playoff. Actually winning the whole thing would have been hard to ignore. Imagine your departure after winning the championship then doing your TV special about going to the Heat. You would have come off as a complete doo-doo head.

You sir, are no Jordan and the villain label fits you to a T.

More self-indulgent nonsense from the former King.

>To Ram Michaels "There's no evidence he quit during the playoffs. Just because he didn't perform as well as he normally does not mean he quit. He was also hurt during the series."

Oh boo hoo !!! People have to stop making excuses for Lebron. STEVE NASH was playing with a broken nose, then a few games later bashed and bleeding so badly he needed stitches and one eye was swollen completely shut, but he continued to his maxium playoff effort. KOBE BRYANT was playing with a broken finger and torn ligament, with maximum effort and determination. And there are other guys out there who did what they needed to do and not whine about it. These guys are like WARRIORS compared to Lebron who is like a SPOILED CHILD. But look at poor little Lebron during the playoffs, his arm was sore so he shot a free throw with the other hand ... to make it obvious to everyone that he had a boo boo and to give him an excuse for wimping out

That is the sign of immaturity... always looking for excuses. Now that he torpedoed his own reputation by the no-class way he left Cleveland, HE'S GETTING NIKE TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM.

The other posters are right... he needs advisors to tell him to man up, shut up, and just play basketball.

You know what really impressed me about LeBron and this ad?
He stood up for his friends and had their back.
Say what you want about him, but that is loyalty and a sign of great character.
I will be more than happy to spend my money to watch him play.

Really, look at what Kobe went through and he is just fine.
Mike Tyson, just fine.
Michael Vick started winning and people are already behind him again.
Chris Brown doing great on the charts.
Charlie Sheen still making a ton of money on his show.
Robert Downey Jr, making a ton of money at the movies.
Once Tiger starts crushing people in tournaments again, he will be just fine.

Should I continue?
LeBron did nothing even remotely comparable to these other guys.
He will be just fine.

All the people you listed off did things in their personal life, not to their fans. Everyone makes mistakes, a lot of people get into trouble with drugs, alcohol or anger issues. It's not hard to forgive and forget these things. Spitting in the face of your fans (and regardless of what LeBron thinks, there aren't a whole lot of "LeBron fans." Basketball is a team sport, and most of his fans were "Cavs fans.") is less forgivable. What people who are angry with lebron are angry about is what he did to his fans. This all goes right back to the night of his "Decision" craptastic special. The point isn't that he left, it's how he left. No one argues that he shouldn't do what feels right for him to do- what they argue is that he was cold, callous and unfeeling in how he did it. And this commercial does nothing to change that.

People who didn't care before won't care now. People who were his fans before this commercial are still his fans. And people who think he's s self righteous, spoiled baby will still feel this way about him after the commercial. I really can't see how this is making a difference.

Very good ad Nike and LeBron, and the haters still do not get it. lol

Some of the sports pundits liked it..... edgy was a word used .... I thought it was just more junk that makes him look bad.

LB. You still don't get it.

It wasn't what you did. It was how you did it.

I think this commercial should be renamed "Still....it's all about ME".
Nike is not trying to sell an actual product here, it is merely a clever but failed attempt to repair Lebron's image so that it can use him to sell their product moving forward. Unfortunately they should have taken a different approach as it perpetuate his image as self absorbed and oblivious to the classless way he handled himself in his departure from Cleveland.

A SMART manager would advise Mr. James to Close His Mouth and just play Basketball! When LeBron opens his mouth he sounds like a whiny spoiled rotten 12 year old.
