Joy Behar: Sharron Angle A 'Bitch,' 'Going To Hell' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 10/26/10 01:33 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:05 PM ET

Joy Behar repeatedly called Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle a "bitch" on "The View" Tuesday, and said that she is "going to hell."

Behar's comments came during a discussion of an ad that Angle released earlier this month. The ad, which focused on immigration and contrasted smiling white children with scowling Latinos, was called "the most overtly racist" ad of the entire campaign by Rachel Maddow on Sunday's "Meet the Press." The "View" co-hosts were no less outraged by it, with Elisabeth Hasselbeck criticizing Angle for using children to stoke fear.

But it was Behar who really let loose on Angle.

"I'd like to see her do this ad in the South Bronx," she said. "Come here, bitch! Come to New York and do it!"

WATCH:

Sherri Shepherd cut in, saying that she was "praying" for Angle.

"I'm not praying for her," Behar shot back. "She's going to hell! She's going to hell, this bitch!"

A round of crosstalk followed until Barbara Walters cut in.

"If she says this one more time, I'm going to walk off the set!" Walters joked.

The problem is the Progressives ALWAYS resort to name calling and are so condescending when they are frustrated by those who don;t see the world with their eyes...They call people name after name.....and expect them to "come around" what logic....ANd they are supposed to be the "educated" ones.

simply put joy was right and the ones saying i don't really like her(JOY) so what!! this sick twisted racist add is put out to pump up hated and fear and could really get some people hurt.Sharon sits back with her maniacal smile and puts out a straight up racist add. to stoke fears on purpose. she had nothing to run on. but i say we get rid of everything and go back to 17th century. and uninformed people see brown or black people and pretend we are stealing their country. their country?? this isn't a red American or a blue America this is the united states of America and we are diverse Sharron and it's all our America..

I don't see a problem here. Joy just told the truth. This country is like a three-year-old when it comes to mere WORDS. I would like to hear ALL the words people actually use every day on the air. Bitch is certainly a very popular word for a mean woman, and this Nevada chick is a mean woman.

Why is Joy Behar still on the air??? Between her trashy mouth and lack of humor, why would any network leave her on the air?

A little about Sharon Angle and I am no fan of Joy Behar.

http://www.care2.com/causes/politics/blog/sharron-angle-would-legislate-biblical-law/

Tracy Viselli writes: "I think we can agree at this point that Angle does not favor the separation of church and state as expressed by Founding Father Thomas Jefferson in his famous Wall of Separation Letter. In fact, as Anjeanette Damon of the Las Vegas Sun reports, Angle may be a Christian Reconstructionist."

Christian Reconstructionists believe in a return to Mosaic law or the Law of Moses. According to Frederick Clarkson, author and lecturer who has written extensively on right-wing religious groups from the Christian Coalition to the Unification Church:"

"Reconstructionism would eliminate not only democracy but many of its manifestations, such as labor unions, civil rights laws, and public schools. Women would be generally relegated to hearth and home. Insufficiently Christian men would be denied citizenship, perhaps executed. So severe is this theocracy that it would extend capital punishment beyond such crimes as kidnapping, rape, and murder to include, among other things, blasphemy, heresy, adultery, and homosexuality."

I find it striking how violent Christian Reconstructionism is and how closely it mirrors Sharia Law with it's wide application of the death penalty for crimes from murder, rape, and kidnapping to adultery, homosexuality, abortion, and sex outside of marriage (presumably for women only)."

Viselli continues: "Like other conservative religious figures, Angle's views of how to support the "traditional family" in the United States is completely at odds with actually providing support for families. If Angle really wants families to survive and thrive with one bread winner, she would support unions since union membership increases the wages and benefits of its members. Or she would support employer childcare programs, health care reform, family planning, etc., because these programs assist parents with economically challenging circumstances and help them provide a more stable family environment. Instead, Angle supports policies that would erase the tax base and eradicate social services that allow many families to survive whether they have two working parents or one."

This is insanity..Who is Joy Behar to cast dispersions on Sharron Angle when she does the same to everyone who does not agree with her agenda. She has called the Tea Party movement a bunch of ignorant southern rednecks. Well isn't that racist? Isn't that setting a president on a class of people. I am a member of the Tea Party movement. I am not Southern not that I would mind. I am not ignorant not that she would notice, with her eyes wide shut.

If this is her idea of unbiased reporting, than she needs to look up the definition. As far as Sharron Angle going to Hell, if she does Behar will be there to welcome her.

That's not Joy's fault.

Hasselbeck said, "they are recycling the hope and change banners" Does she realize that the flip side of hope and change is dispair and stagnation? THAT"S what the GOP is offering !!!!

i like myself some Joy .. she doesn't take any mess from these racists
03:03 PM on 10/28/2010
Ok.First off I would like to say that nothing Joy has said was constructive. The truth is- in this country we are all facing a real problem. While the add may seem racist to some... this is an ad about ILLEGAL people that come to our country ILLEGALLY. People that don't pay into the system and use YOUR TAX MONEY ....yours! Not just the republicans. This is not about Latino Americans. If it were about a RACE of people... then I would understand the anger. Believe it or not there are many Latinos that agree that we have a REAL problem that is not something a daily laugh will solve.

Oh please, go take your comments somewhere else. If Angle really cared about the issue of illegal immigration then why didn't she include scary pictures of Canadians and Europeans? They immigrate here illegally all the time! She is demonizing Hispanics (documented and undocumented), and as a Hispanic immigrant, I am DEEPLY offended by her ad. All the kids and the couple she put in her ad look Caucasian, blond hair and blue-eyed. Her message is CLEAR. She is a racist.

Because no hispanic illegals make up a very small percentage of the total illegal population.

Sharon doesn't dare like the backwoods of Nevada.

Complete unprofessionalism. First, she walks off the set of her own show. Then, she makes this out-of-control outburst. I think she needs a mandatory vacation or it's time for a new co-host.
