Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad played a more friendly political game than usual, suiting up for a genial game of futsal (indoor soccer) with Bolivian President Evo Morales, reports Sky News. The game took place in Iran against some of the country's top players while Morales was in town for trade talks.
Ahmadinejad was in the news last month for statements that the U.S. may have been behind the 9/11 attacks, Reuters reported. Morales was recently faulted for a different type of low blow when he was caught on tape kneeing an opponent in the groin during another "friendly" soccer game, reports the Daily Mail.
The political allies proved to be united on the field as well, with the presidential team winning 8-6 after a penalty shoot.
