Notre Dame junior Declan Sullivan died Wednesday when a video tower he was filming in was blown over by strong winds. He was 20.
According to the Notre Dame Observer, Sullivan was taping a football practice from a hydraulic scissor lift.
Sullivan, originally from Long Grove, Ill., was a contributor to the campus paper and worked in the school's video department.
Friends told the Observer that Sullivan was an "unbelievably unique soul" and the "nicest, most easy-going [person]."
A mass in honor of Sullivan was held at Notre Dame today.
