Mike Skiff SUES Sacha Baron Cohen Over 'Bruno' Spat

A cameraman sued Sacha Baron Cohen on Tuesday, claiming his civil rights were violated when he was roughed up by a film crew shooting the comedian in character as 'Bruno' during a gay marriage rally.

Mike Skiff, a self-described gay journalist, sued Baron Cohen and others involved in the 2009 film 'Bruno' for more than $25,000 in damages for alleged physical and emotional pain and suffering.

This lawsuit may be legitimate- I don't know enough about it to say one way or the other, but the big headline on this is hilarious. "SUED" As though this is a first time occurrence. Cohen has been sued by too many people to count. Must be a slow entertainment news day.

I liked Da Ali G Show, but as has been said, those characters just aren't as funny when stretched out into full movies.

Besides, how is this news? Doesn't he get sued like every other day over something he did in Borat or Bruno? That's part of the marketing!

And finally, like him or hate him, but Cohen is going to make a pretty awesome Freddie Mercury.

Those of you who are defaming Skiff should take the time to watch the actual video of the event. Sacha's crew was told to leave by the police, because they didn't even bother to get a permit to shoot commercial video. They were deliberately trying to provoke reactions at a Prop 8 rally. Sacha's behavior along was deplorable. Mike Skiff was targeted because he correctly identified Sacha to the demonstrators that Sacha was using for cheap laughs. He tried to capture the crew on video, as evidence of what they did wrong, and he was assaulted for it.

It's all on video, but I'm sure that might mar your slavish devotion to Sacha.
