And I think you all know who is who, and what is what
and why is this sort of thing even remotely appropriate

I'm sure that if Chang and Eng could come back to life today, they would be beside themselves with joy that their great grand-daughter could become Governator of a prominent State.

He was actually a Bozo understudy for when the regular Bozo couldn't be there. (True.) Somehow, that's even more appropriate. I guess the red nose doesn't fall far from the clown.

Commenting on the Bozo connection would be too easy. But as a psychotherapist I do want to say that this woman's facial expressions - when she knows she's being photographed - are somewhat concerning. If she were in my office for an assessment, and displayed those 'over-the-top' expressions?
Just sayin'...I think my diagnosis would be impacted by that fact.

OKAY!! We know O'Donnell's mouth can accommodate both her feet and then some simultaneously. But do you have to keep reminding us? That is one ugly orifice.

Christine O'Donnell, Delaware's Republican and tea party candidate for the Senate, is the daughter of Daniel O'Donnell, a TV actor who once played Bozo the Clown.

Well I guess the premise of clown stuck with her.

Well, there's a profession that should be a breeze for her.

If you want a picture of the future with a republican administration, imagine a boot stamping on a your face forever.

Alan Livingston and Larry Harmon would take exception to this woman's claims regarding Bozo.

FTA:

Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina is the son of the Rev. David Horace Burr, who claims he is a 12th cousin of Aaron Burr, the former vice president who killed Founding Father Alexander Hamilton in an 1804 duel.

Hey, at 12th cousin level, most of us are probably related to Aaron Burr.....

Presumably the content of the article reflects the knowledge and sophistication of the intended audience. If so, this article is tells us much about the American electorate -- none of it is good.

The funny thing is, being from NC, the first time I started seeing Burr signs I wondered how anyone with that name could manage to win an election in America. That would be like having the last name Quisling in Norway. Little did I know they were they were so distantly related!

Alexander Hamilton was one of the 3 greatest founding fathers in my book. You are so right, Aaron Burr is one the historically revised villains in U.S. history. Of course a lot of people don't know squat about history, so I guess it ain't that much of a stretch to say that people don't know or don't care about Aaron Burr the scoundrel.

You are completely on the money with this comment. Imagine how smoothly our political system would run if modern conservatives emulated Hamilton, Madison, and Jay instead of Burr the anarchist/monarchist. I was just reading about him, and discovered that he founded the original form of JP Morgan Chase. Some things never change.

Most of these connections were well known.
I agree with others re: O'Donnell's picture. It's not as if you have only a few pix to choose from.
Come on HuPo, a more neutral photo would be better journalism. It would also be easier to think of judging her views instead of merely think she's a clown.
04:51 PM on 10/28/2010
I'm not a fan of O'Donnell by any stretch, but I agree. This makes HuffPo look like Drudge when they put that photo up. Still funny, but I've seen better pics of her. She's not really that bad looking when they get her to smile.

And then you listen to her speak---and the raw unatractiveness returns with a vengeance.
Just because somebody is pretty on the outside, it does not mean they are on the inside.
And any man desiring her, desires a curse for all Eternity!
