Bloomberg Mocks Charlie Sheen At HuffPost's Game Changers Event

Mayor Bloomberg gave Charlie Sheen a good-natured ribbing at the Huffington Post Game Changers event last night.

After he was announced by Norah Ephron, Bloomberg told audience members during his acceptance speech, "the way we got Nora to introduce me was that I'd promised I'd say something nice about her book in my remarks. Actually, I haven't read it. I'm sure it's wonderful. It's called, I Remember Nothing, which I heard is also the title of a new book by Charlie Sheen."

Mayor Bloomberg also went on to describe the recent salon robbert that was foiled by an off-duty cop.

"This is a week we've been reminded just how critical the fight (against illegal guns) is. I'm sure many of you heard of the off-duty Brooklyn police officer who foiled a stick-up in her hair salon. She shot the gun right out of the robber's hand. We welcomed her to City Hall, gave her a promotion, and, as she said, "Never mess with a woman when she's getting her hair done."

Bloomberg was named one of HuffPost's 2010 Game Changers along with Sean Penn, Geoffrey Canada and Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, among others.
