Lisa Murkowski Ad Takes Aim At Joe Miller's Controversial Positions (VIDEO)

As Alaska's three-way Senate race seemingly gets tighter by the day, incumbent senator and write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski is up with a new ad taking direct aim at her Tea Party-backed opponent, Republican nominee Joe Miller.

The new spot focuses on several events and statements that have plagued the Miller campaign. The ad starts off by intoning, "Joe Miller's answer to freedom of the press... Arrest the journalists," a reference to a reporter who was handcuffed and detained by Miller's security team on October 17.

"Joe Miller's answer to illegal immigration... Use East Germany as an example." Earlier this month, Miller positively mentioned that "East Germany was very, very able to reduce the flow." He added, "If East Germany could, we could."

"Exactly what kind of America does Joe Miller live in?" the ad then asks. Footage from a Joe Miller rally in which Miller supporters proudly stroll down the street carrying guns appears on screen, with ominous music playing in the background. Scroll down to see the ad.
