I hope ABC has the worst ratings for this evening. What a decision to show Dancing with the Stars instead of the elections.

Don’t Hope Prop 19 Passes; Help It Pass
By: Michael Whitney Tuesday November 2, 2010 1:45 pm

Less than 8 hours til the polls close in California; the last 3 polls showed the marijuana measure losing by several points. While the polls aren’t hopeful, we still need to bring every voter to the polls that we can, no matter what the outcome.

We have an easy way to talk to voters – real, live voters – without dialing, without hangups, without answering machines. Stay connected to live voters and turn them out for Prop 19.

Click here to call voters for Prop 19 - http://action.firedoglake.com/page/s/callProp19

UPDATE: Just got this note from the Yes on 19 campaign (whose website is down…):

I’m told by organizers on the ground that youth turnout is so high that the polling location at San Diego State University has completely run out of provisional ballots. We’re hearing that it will take 3 or 4 more hours to re-stock the ballots there…

This is kind of good news about turnout, but not for people who are waiting to vote. We need to make it up - please start making calls for Prop 19 right now!

It will be fun to watch Fox News and see how they report the election.
07:23 PM on 11/02/2010
They will declare everyone ( GOP) the winner, before the votes are counted. Like the did, when Dubya ran.
05:58 PM on 11/02/2010
Thanks for the information, I'm looking forward to seeing the results come in tonight.

I encourage you all to skip the election night TV coverage entirely. You'll be surprised at how little you miss it.

I haven't seen much cable news lately (by choice, I miss Rachel) and I definitely won't be watching tonight or for the next couple of days.
06:23 PM on 11/02/2010
I have joined you in staying away from cable news nor will I be watching tonight.
05:35 PM on 11/02/2010
Does anyone have any live streaming recommendations?
05:45 PM on 11/02/2010
I'd stream the one from ABCNews, while keeping an eye on PBS, Jim Lehrer's coverage, on the television. I don't have cable, but this seems like a good package to me.

Chuck Todd, Chris Matthews, now I know why people watch Fox.
05:36 PM on 11/02/2010
People watch Fox because they are too dumb to figure out that
Fox lies to and misleads them...
04:39 PM on 11/02/2010
Stop FOX News! They are ruining our hopes for Utopia in this unfair world!!!

I can............let me see if I can help you understand.

The economy is in the tank, The Democratic party is about to lose more seats than they did in 94 and President Obama gave an interview to the American Idol guy. The questions were softballs and most objective people are wondering the same question............why?

That clear it up for you?

President present was with Ryan Seacrest? Esshh this is getting past embarrassing. Wait who's Ryan Seacrest?
06:27 PM on 11/02/2010
Seacrest is someone who is has a broad following among those under 65. Not big with the old, fat, uneducated white men.

Thank the stars we have cable, TCM and FX (Sons of Anarchy!), as well as Jon Stewart's Indicision 2010 tonight! Hours upon hours of election coverage is just insanity and an excuse for verbal masturbation by the news anchors. It is what is and we cannot change the outcome so I won't be watching their reporting every vote from every hamlet.

If the Democrats were expected to win as big as the Republicans are I'd bet you'd be watching.

I wouldn't.
