Michele Bachmann Supporter Mocks Chris Matthews With Sign: 'How's The Tingle, Chris?'

A Michele Bachmann supporter mocked Chris Matthews Tuesday night as the Minnesota congresswoman appeared live on MSNBC.

"How's the tingle, Chris?" the sign behind Bachmann read, in a reference to Matthews' famous quote that he felt a "thrill" up his leg watching an Obama campaign speech.

"I think people are thrilled tonight," Bachmann told Matthews. "I imagine that thrill is probably not so tingly on your leg anymore."

"They're making fun of me, fine, for saying that," Matthews said. "I can live with that."

Come on it's funny. She won, Chris obviously would hate that. It's in an in your face moment kind of like if you team wins and you poke fun at the other teams players or something. It's no big deal.

Agreed, plus the whole MSNBC team were acting very unprofessional during the Election Coverage. I was surprised that their producer didn't reign them in. CNN had the best coverage.
11:27 PM on 11/05/2010
Although MSNBC's election night coverage was gratuitously partisan and boarder line adolescent in mood the question Chris Mathews posed to Michelle Backmann was by no means out of line. She's an elected Federal Congresswomen who stood 100% behind an extreme statement when she made it. Now that she has been re-elected it is completely with reason to call her on her statement. As you can see hypnotism had nothing to do with it and denial was everything. Even surrounded by a crowd that would have done back flips and cheered if she had answered yes in support of her statement still complete denial. Why, because she knows how ludicrous a statement it was that's why.

I watched an hour or so of MSNBC Tuesday night...how is that network still in existence? That crew is an absolute embarrassment...all of them. I used to laugh at it, but now, it's like watching a train wreck, carnage included.
03:51 PM on 11/05/2010
Its in existence because we educated people who are not facist right wing nut jobs who want a white Christian gun toting nation, who are not racist and xenophobic, and who believe that health care is not just for rich people do watch from time to time.

Not sure why your reply to my comment isn't showing up, but at least I have seen it. Would not say I was kidding, more like being cynical in the extreme. In my opinion she is vile in the extreme. She represents the Christianity of convience, claiming to be a Christian when it is convenient to advance her own agenda while ignoring all the tenents of Christianity that are not convenient to her agenda.

"Educated people", huh? Yeah, the typse that would nominate high pillars of society such as ALVIN GREENE to run for Senate.

I felt the same way (although I like Maddow's style sometimes ... just not Tuesday night)

You could hear them snickering and ruffling papers in the background during interviews.

Completely unprofessional IMO ...

At least he didn't have a thrill running up his hardball.

The tingle was still there but this time it was a symptom of the heart attack Matthews had Tuesday night.

Maybe the tingle came from the pearl necklace that KeithO gave to him.

That is really immature of Bachmann, but then again she is still stuck in a pre school state of mind.
02:13 PM on 11/05/2010
joel123 -- First, Ms. Bachmann was not the one holding the sign. Second, Matthews proved that he is unprofessional first by his tingly leg comment (he originated it, not the person holding the sign!), and then by his rude treatment of Michele Bachmann. His questions were not intended to inform, but to humiliate. Fortunately, he missed his intended target and the ricochet humiliated the aggressor instead.

I wish Ms Bachmann becomes the leader of GOP. All democrats must pray for this to happen. Palin and Bachmann and we will be safe from the 'Rushes' of this world forever...

I am so sick of the childish behavior of our politicians. Time to freaking GROW UP and do the JOB you are being PAID for. Michelle needs to also stop repeating the stupid stuff she reads somewhere like it is fact.

Good God...what a gaggle of losers that news show is. I'm no fan of Fox either, but let us analyze what we have here:

1. Matthews who comes across as the overweight kid who had to sit alone in the high school cafeteria
2. Olbermann who has the personality of a three-toed sloth
3. Maddow who reeks of hiring quotas, and whose appeal is limited to far-left zealots and pre-op trannies

No wonder their ratings are headed for a one-on-one dual with Full House reruns.

With your three points, especially point three it's difficult to imagine you not being a fan of Fox news or Limbaugh, Savage of someone like that.
09:42 AM on 11/05/2010
I don't watch TV news anymore. What's the point when there is plenty of information to be had on the internet? I only watched that MSNBC clip because it was hosted here.

Would I be here, reading HuffPost articles if I were a right-wing zealot?

And, Savage is a neanderthal.

I like the upside-down Bachmann sign better.
06:54 PM on 11/04/2010
I think that was pretty damn funny - I guess Chris didn't have a TINGLE so much as a TINKLE - he looked like he had just pissed himself..
10:15 PM on 11/04/2010
He needs to lay off the jelly doughnuts or he won't be able to tell if he's pissing or not.

So typical of Bachmann....high school drama. Unfortunately a court jester is not what our country needs right now !

You're right, we have Obama for that.

Bachmann, too, accuses Obama of heading a “gangster government.†[06/10/09]
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said she was "very concerned that [Obama] may have anti-American views." [10/17/08]
"And then in the midst of that calling, God then called me to run for the US Congress."

Michelle Bachmann: "We're Running Out Of Rich People In This Country"
http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/michelle-bachmann-were-running-out-rich

"I am so proud to be from the state of Minnesota. We're the workingest state in the country, and the reason why we are, we have more people that are working longer hours, we have people that are working two jobs. "
Bachmann's version of the American Dream is apparently working two full-time jobs and struggling to get by.

Alan Grayson was one of the few Democrats in this debacle whom I could respect. Yes, he failed to be re-elected, but that might be expected for a progressive trying to survive in a Southern state. I do have to thank MB for one thing. Previously, I assumed that only the South could produce a rabid, know-nothing, radical neo-conservative who resembles a walking parody of a politician. Now, I am relieved that a northern, more sophisticated state like Minnesota contains an equally strong percentage of unenlighted rubes. My condolences to the MN progressives who fought to eliminate this harpy from their politics....

Gee, funny but with an Ivy education and two advanced degrees, IMHO it is the Regressives who are unenlightened. Or worse, willfully ignorant.

Bachmann, yet another scary Republican female. I think we're on the verge of another Nazi Germany with the attitudes that these women have toward those individuals not...like...them.
