Pelosi Election Results: Nancy Pelosi To Speak Out On Election Results

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to make her first extend remarks on yesterday's election results in an interview tonight with ABC World News Tonight anchor Diane Sawyer.

Pelosi, the first woman Speaker of the House of Representatives, will give up her gavel when Republicans take control in January. She released a brief statement last night after the GOP victory was official:

Over the last four years, the Democratic Majority in the House took courageous action on behalf of America's middle class to create jobs and save the country from the worst economic catastrophe since the Great Depression.

Our Members and candidates ran remarkable campaigns led by the superb leadership of DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen.

The outcome of the election does not diminish the work we have done for the American people. We must all strive to find common ground to support the middle class, create jobs, reduce the deficit and move our nation forward.

Nancy was just firing up her troops on the eve of battle. She said as much in an earlier interview. It worked for us in California! Too bad it didn't work for the rest of the country. Demorats won in every state office in California. This is one of those times when, much as I love the USA, I wish we could just become our own State/State - with San Francisco as the capital and LA as NY. And, most of all with our own currency!

Historically she will be seen as a very effective Speaker but will be known for championing legislation against the will of the American people that was decisive in creating huge electoral losses for her Party not only in congress, but in many many state races across the country.

The new narrative is that this election proved that people were against the presidents initiatives. First less than half the population voted. Second. Those that did vote overwhelmingly said they just want jobs. Third the people that were clearly against some of the initiatives, half of them were bombarded with negative ads of the initiatives. Never undereestimate the power of Special interest money in this election. 4 Bil was spent this election cycle.

I don't think the election proved any of the things Derrik Oates thinks it proved. I think this election proved that 50 years of terrible public education in this country, including taking Civics out of the highschool curriculum, has left us with a population very subject to propaganda rather than factual knowledge. Democrats won every state office election in California and proved that big outside money can't buy elections from an educated electorate.

Wow I use to be a middle class American, and I'm a middled aged American. Now and for the past 20 months I have been an unemployed American. Although I am thankful for the unemplyment benefits (that I have paid into for 30 years), but it doesn't pay the bills, I want a job!!!! The only middle aged Americans that are getting jobs are the ones who had used all their benifits and are working min wage jobs. This is a disgrace!!!!!!!!!

If you really knew Nancy Pelosi's record and got your facts from a reliable source rather than Fox News, you would know that Pelosi is a great Democrat. She accomplished more for the American people in the last 4 years than the Bushes and Clinton did for the past 20. I voted the straight Democratic ticket also. But I also took the time to check out why Nancy Pelosi has been the most attacked person in politics and got my facts straight. Any time any one is targeted every time they turn around for the most trivial things, you need to ask where is this hatred coming from. I found out and so can you.

Nancy did not lie. A lie is a deliberate distortion of what one knows to be the truth. Nancy counts her votes and knew that she was being overly optimistic. As she said to one of her interviewers who questioned her prediction, I am relying my troops to face the election. When she stood up for the legislation she supported, she knew she would be the target of a massive Republican smear campaign. It happened to Bill and Hillary Clinton when Bill was President. When someone is blamed for everything, you need to ask why you hear the same message from every major news source and then check the source. Bottom line: our main news sources are no longer reliable. It's that simple. But thanks to Google, you can piece together facts rather than propaganda if you have the time and the commitment to evidence based reality.

She confidently said around 7:00 PM last night the Dems were going to pull it out in the House. Can anyone not delusional actually believe that she didn't know what was truly coming? Wouldn't she be apprised of the Democrats internal polling that could not possibly have missed the wall that was coming down on them? Pelosi absolutely knew the shock that was coming but she's so used to always spinning EVERYTHING that she simply couldn't help herself.
