In the priciest sign to date that the luxury rental market is on fire, last week seven apartments at the Waldorf-Astoria were rented to the Saudi royal family for a staggering $210,000 a month, setting an all-time record for the city post recession.
The aggregate lease includes apartments that are located from the 37th to the 41st floors of the Waldorf-Astoria. Peter Acocello, along with Olivia Negron and their team at Prudential Douglas Elliman represented the royal family. Mr. Acocello declined to comment. Margaret Bay of Brown Harris Stevens was the listing broker of the apartments. She declined to comment.
