Andrew Shirvell

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — An assistant attorney general in Michigan who was accused of harassing a gay student assembly president at the University of Michigan has been allowed back on campus – with restrictions.

The school and a lawyer for Andrew Shirvell say he can enter all public grounds and public events such as football games. But he's not allowed to have "physical or verbal contact" with student Chris Armstrong or be anywhere where he can reasonably anticipate Armstrong will be present.

Armstrong claimed Shirvell harassed him over a five-month period. Shirvell started a blog in April that regularly lambasted Armstrong as a racist with a "radical homosexual agenda."

Shirvell had appealed the university's decision to ban him from campus. Shirvell, who is on personal leave from his state job, faces a disciplinary hearing Friday.

Nobody would HAVE the sick Queen -- but full marriage only, please, for those who want to be together, not the back of the bus

I don't know if this is a good idea. How do we know this closet case won't resume stalking the student again?

He's been fired, but I look for more stalking and a lawsuit from Shirvell.

I saw that he's been fired. Wow. Someone crazier than Christine O'Donnell, Joe Miller, Rand Paul and Carl Paladino combined ...

If no one has heard of this case, it was featured on the Daily Show a few days back. Absolutely bizarre the kind of stalking behavior and harassment this man has been allowed to get away with, then in turn blames the victim.
