In the world of fashion magazines, the September issue is unarguably the most important of the year, in terms of both editorial content and ad pages. But it's also important to see how the issues sell on the newsstand, and WWD's Memo Pad looked at the numbers released by the Audit Bureau of Circulations Rapid Report.

Jennifer Aniston represents the modern man and woman - independent, childless and not overpopulating the planet, and a millionare with  a Bentley.
Of course surburban housewives bored with their lives and their 400 offspring would not be fans of hers. But then people like Octomom probably wouldn't have time to read a mag inbetween all the kids.
Also it was great that she did something different and original - the Babs ttribute was cool, I swear if I see another Liz Taylor or MM tribute then I'm going to scream.

The Halle cover is certainly eye-catching. Aniston's is a big barrel of meh. And J-Lo? Olsen? Blugh. What is it with all the Aniston love? She could poo on the street and people would be worshipping it like some sort of holy relic.

Harpers Bazaar is my favorite fashion magazine these days so this is no surprise.
After the Project Runway finale, I'm not feeling the need to buy Marie Claire.

So much in the Halle Berry cover worked together, it's no wonder it sold so well. That photo just draws you in. The other photos just kinda sit there.
The cover I really cannot stand is Mary Kate. She has such as self-serving, fake look on her face.

According to thesee numbers,it was down, not up. I think Aniston's was up because some people hope for gossip rather than inspiration.

I don't anybody would buy Harpers hoping to read gossip.
I think it was because Aniston was original and did a tribute to someone else other than Liz Taylor and Marliyn Monroe.

I loved the Halle cover. She's beautiful, radiant, fabulous.

JLo looks like she's dressing for a cheesy Vegas show. Her husband-selected outfits these days are awful. He's "managing" her I hear. Lady, hire a real manager; someone who will make you look classy not trashy.

Not in this woman's world.

Find her the definition of "mediocre, desperate has-been."

FRIENDS is long over (she was one in an ensemble cast). Doesn't interview well. Grating tone of voice. Her last "hit" movie had a dog as the star. Poses near naked to keep herself in the "nooze."

And Aniston's lastest attempt at relevance? A fragrance.

PU-LEEZE.

Nope. Don't like her at all.
