A series of explosions from Mount Merapi have choked the air with volcanic ash in Indonesia, as the death toll continues to rise and disaster aid barely trickles in. After erupting again on Friday, devastation continues to spread throughout the island nation. The eruptions of ash, lava, and gas have left at least 138 dead since its initial eruption on Oct. 26.
President Obama is heading to India on Saturday, and will be visiting Indonesia next week.
