Kanye West Gives Surprise Performance On Delta Flight (VIDEO)

Kanye West surprised Delta passengers on a flight from Minneapolis to New York on November 5th with an impromptu rap of his hits "The Good Life" and "Gold Digger," according to HollywoodLife.com.

West, who according to a passenger was seated in First Class, came on the loud speaker about 30 minutes into the flight and started rapping. The passenger tells Hollywood Life:

"I had to pass through First Class to get my seat in Economy, and I saw Kanye sitting there with a little drink in his hand. I wouldn't have even thought it was him, but he was sitting with a very PR-looking lady."

Listen, there are so many people here defending that rotten performance like the rest of us are either old or deaf for not getting it. Well, it is you defenders who are missing the point. That is a horrible performance for even a non-musician to break out, on a live mike, no less, to a captive audience! Oh the humanity! That observation is not meant to discredit Kanye's success, or his sometimes poignant perspective. I respect him for those things, but I can not respect anyone for thinking that this pile was somehow a cool musical performance!

I would have requested my money back -- from either the airline or Mr. West. Flying these days is unpleasant enough without having to listen to unwanted and unsolicited rap music. The immodest Mr. West needs to learn that he is not, in fact, the center of the universe!
