'What The Fuck Has Obama Done So Far' Creators Discuss Their Web Site (VIDEO)

First Posted: 11/09/10 09:50 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:10 PM ET

The creators of 'What The Fuck Has Obama Done So Far,' a web site that displays various Obama administration accomplishments, stopped by "The Last Word" to talk about their site on Monday night. The web site, which resembles the format of the 2008 hit site -- and later book -- 'Barack Obama Is Your New Bicycle,' was launched last week and has already been viewed by more than four million people, according to Lawrence O'Donnell.

Shavanna Miller, who came up with the idea, says it only took approximately three hours for her and her two friends to put the site together on a Sunday night.

Co-creator Richard Boenigk discussed the thought behind the site: "When we set out to create the site, we weren't out to convince anybody who wasn't already a supporter of the president.... When he was elected, I think people dreamed really big, bigger than they probably had in the past. And I think that left a lot of room for disappointment. So this is a site to remind people of the things he has accomplished."

So the F-bomb is acceptable in a h3ad|ine and in the body of a story, but not in a comment? That sure is arbitrary.

Yes. He tried in two years to save the poor, the unemployed, the disenfranchised, the sad, the ill, the sorry. Ya know...those folks who DON'T spend their days getting sun spots on their skin on the on the golf course? The ones who don't have insurance to run to their dermatologist to erase the sun spots gotten on j@g0ff time on the golf course...?

After eight years of BUSH? My gawd. My gawd

That site is a total farce. Half of their touted "accomplishments" are the Dodd financial bill which enshrines too big too fail among other horrible things, and the health insurance mandate.

Obama is business as usual, and on every single major policy issue, from war to wall street he is identical to Bush.

You need to look again. Obama would not have invaded Iraq. That's a rather critical difference, don't you think?

You can talk about what he "would have done" all you want, all I can see is what he's done in reality, which is continue (if not expand) all the Bush policies.

Really? Last I checked we still occupied Iraq and Afghanistan, fund death squads in Columbia and elsewhere, continue to transfer toxic debt from Wall Street banks to taxpayers owned institutions, hold kidnapped people in Cuba and elsewhere, spend a trillion dollars a year trying to stop people from smoking pot...

Shall I continue?

You do know we normally leave a deterrent force behind in most cases if it's a strategically located country right? S. Korea has about 50k American military personnel and about 20 permanent bases give or take.
You just railed against the farce then threw in a bunch of farce of your own.

ty pammy, congress has always been on my hit list for the very reason I stated. They don't want health care because they don't need it. They want to cut SS because they don't Need it. They will cut Medicare and Medicaid because they don't depend on it. It's easy to say "everyone has to tighten their belts", when that "everyone" doesn't include yourself.

Mildly interesting site. They do have some good points and it's not like Obama hasn;t done anything, but all the pages they devote to Health Care and Financial Reform need to have big astericks * on them explaining the loopholes and sacrafices. Like any course of action proposed by the Consumer Protection Agency can be vetoed by the Comptroller aka head of the GAO. Or the health care items they are claiming are 4 years down the road and that no power to reivew, restrict or roll back insurance rates existed in the final bill. And there are plenty of things Obama has not done like end mountain top removal, ended Bush Administration practices barring Global Warming as an addressable item in the Endangered Species Act. DADT. Immigration Reform, on National Security he is just as bad or worse than Bush. He may have issued an Executive Order on Gitmo, but never proposed anything to address the underlying issues there.

What a load of hooey. More HP articles are critical of Obama than laudatory, on most days. Arianna herself and most HP contributors have been relentlessly critical, but from a progressive point of view - Obama not being liberal enough, being too conciliatory with Repubs, taking too long to roll back Bush-era policies, etc. In general, he's criticized for being too moderate, leaning too far to the right. Then you have Fox and all the hundreds of right-wing sites who criticize him for being a Marxist. He can't win.

That's what Faux was saying in the build up to Bush's illegal war in Iraq; but as liberals aren't sheep like the GOP - it doesn't work that way here.

Some more of his accomplishments
* Won the Nobel Peace Prize soon after taking office
* Escalated the war in Afghanistan
* Expanded war in Pakistan with drone strikes, killing many innocents
* Continued the war in Iraq but re-branded it as the end of combat operations
* Expanded Bush's program of indefinite detention program
* Authorized the assassination of US citizens without trial
* Suggested that we look forward, and do not investigate and prosecute the Bush administration for torture and war crimes
* Handed billions of taxpayer dollars over to bankers and other corporate executives, allowing them to continue to pay themselves extravagant salaries and bonuses with bailout money

I am so proud of our president. Hope he wins another term in 2012!
