Kurt Warner Leaves 'Dancing With The Stars'

Kurt Warner Dancing

AP/LOS ANGELES - Kurt Warner's "Dancing With the Stars" stint is over, but the Super Bowl champ is still a crowd pleaser.

The studio audience and Warner's fellow contestants cheered "M-V-P! M-V-P!" as he was eliminated from the hit ABC show Tuesday.

Even judge Bruno Tonioli, who insulted Warner on Monday's episode by saying, "Obviously there are people that are better than you," praised the quarterback's gentlemanly nature.

"He has proven a true sportsman," Tonioli said before Warner was dismissed. "His attitude has been immaculate, incredible manners, and regardless of what happens, you have achieved a lot. You really are an American idol."

Warner embodied that attitude after learning his fate, thanking his partner, the show, the fans, his wife and their seven children.

"I learned a long time ago that life isn't always about winning and losing competitions, but it's about relationships, it's about impacting people," he said. "And so I thank everybody at 'Dancing With the Stars' because it gave me an opportunity to impact people and build relationships, and that's really what it's all about."

Warner and his professional partner, Anna Trebunskaya, came into Tuesday's episode a point away from last place. Judges had praised the pair's waltz and chacha -- "I've never seen you dance with so much charisma," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said -- but the couple only collected 24 points out of 30 for each dance.

Judges' scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which celebrity is ousted each week.

Tuesday's episode also included performances by John Legend and The Roots, Taio Cruz, and two pint-sized couples (ages 9 and 10) dancing a jive accompanied by celebrated 9-year-old pianist Emily Bear.

Football star Jerry Rice and sportscaster Kenny Mayne, both previous "Dancing" contestants, discussed the remaining competitors during their mock sports segment, "Dance Center." Rice wore false eyelashes and a low-cut sequined top. Mayne also wore sequins.

Warner joins previously eliminated contestants Rick Fox, David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton, Margaret Cho, Florence Henderson and reality stars Audrina Patridge and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

Competing in Monday's semifinal round will be actors Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey, singer-actress Brandy and Bristol Palin.

Will Bristol be voted off 'Dancing' next week?

Bristol Palin is not a "child".

Neither is she "brave" for appearing on the show, she's raking in the big bucks for every week she survives.

It clearly is her mother's supporters who keep voting for her, but I also fault the judges for going easy on her. There have been too many instances of inflated scores for a young woman with precious little personality who simply cannot dance.

I can only hope this is her last foray into entertainment.

Yuck, yuck, and yuck. Seems like there is no escaping the infiltration of the "nobody" Palin. The media is doing a great job of promoting this vacant stardom. We can't escape the constant blitz.

Based on her skill as a dancer she should have been voted off the show long time ago. She is too stiff and no musicality. She is being kept alive by her mother's fan club, no more no less. She is a sweet kid and beyond that there is no one home.

How does that porker Palin get to be on prime time?

No need to be nasty here.  If you note there are 2 people in the final four who are not skinny and she isn't the biggest.

I am not a Bristol fan, although the child is working hard, she is talentless and not interesting to watch.  Her mother is an abomination.

But gratuitous nastiness is wrong.

This show has become a joke and I can't watch anymore

Bristol will voted out when the judges finally have all the power to get rid of who they think doesn't deserved to be in the final. This will happen next week or the week after and america will not have any say in the matter, sorry all you fox watching sheep. Those 3 professional dancers/judges would have to get rid of her to save the integrity of the show, if they don't the show will be a laughing stock.

The producers may already be feeling the heat.

I have watched dwts since season 1 and usually vote for my favorite every week. The last 3 weeks (since Bristol has been saved over much better dancers) the number of votes per phone line has been reduced each week. This could be in an effort to counter the palin voting websites. I don't remember them doing that in seasons past. Yhis week, it was down to 5 votes per phone line. My sixth try was rejected because I was out of votes.

If these website groups advocating for voting for Bristol have access to phone banks with large amounts of phone lines, they can still have a big affect but not as much week after week. Plus those who voted in the past for those who have been booted will probably shift their votes to the best dancers.

Also seasons past when this happened, the judges became more ciritical and gave lower scores. I remember Len even telling a few that it was their time to go. Len did make a comment a couple of weeks back that he could understand how people pulled for the underdog but the good dancers should not be voted off. That comment was meant for Bristol's voters.

I hope for the credibillity of this show that she gets voted off this week. I have watched this show since season 1 because I enjoy ballroom dancing. I watch more for the professionals than the "stars".

They have reduced the number of votes each week since season one.

Each apparatus you have get the amount of voted as there are dancers in the field.  That is why the number decreases.  The TeaCons are spending the whole night voting with everything they have, borrowing apparatuses, making new e-mails as each one gets votes and getting their friends to vote.

The show has come up with a problem.  They got the ratings they wanted but didn't factor in the craziness of the Palinestas.

But the show will survive and hopefully this year either Jennifer or Brandy will win.  In any event all will be forgiven.

I don't blame the Palins at all. I blame the producers of DWTS. When they brought politics into this, they owned it.

There are plenty of obese, non-pregnant women. I suspect Palin is just a natural fatty.

Fan number one, I think you said it well.  It isn't Bristol who has been there longer than she deserves, she should have been the 3rd to go.

But the upsetment is about the she grizzly.  Of course, Bristol wouldn't be there without the she grizzly.

Perhaps its time for those of us who enjoy the show but don't vote to start voting.

Lacey Schwimmer is 22, Julianne Hough is 22, Bristol Palin is 20. Cheryl Burke was 22 when she started with DWTS.

Why is Palin referred to as a "child"?

1.  They posted this one, sweetie

2.  They post lots of things that are pro Sarah

3.  I have had lots of posts that seem to be deleted, and then I get comments on them

4.  If you think that Arianna is hands on with the comments on DWTS you are indeed one of them.

5.  Get a life.

as a mother and a women, I really feel for Bristol. I think Sarah will go to the depths of hell for what she is doing and has done to her daughter. This should be Bristol's moment but the child has to campaign and promote her mother. It is so wrong for her mother to cause her minions to vote for this child when she does not deserve to win, It is so wrong to steal a win from other dancers who really deserve to win, I feel she is punishing anyone who cross her, look at Joe, she is putting her daughter in the limelight to be hated and maligned. tonight on Larry king live all the questions for her was about her mother. I know someday this child will blow and when she blows we will hear the horror stories.

While she has markedly improved, she should have been voted off from the get-go. But, she's got all the Palin fans/Tea Partiers voting for her. If she wins because of these call-ins, it really will be disappointing.

The problem is that even if people would vote in extraordinary numbers, Palin still wins the popular vote because we'll be splitting ours between the remaining contestants. This isn't about people not voting for the other contestants. It's about Sarah Palin and the Tea Party running the show.
