Sarah & Todd Palin Shoot Down Divorce Rumors

Sarah and Todd Palin share how they reacted to rumors that they were headed towards a $20 million divorce in the new issue of People magazine.

According to People, Sarah was "steaming" over a report that the couple was divorcing, while Todd was able to laugh it off.

"I call Todd on the cell phone [from the grocery checkout] and I say, 'Todd, you won't believe this cover!' And he says, 'Twenty million? Write me a check,' " Sarah told People. "He's good about laughing some of that stuff off."

Rumors that the couple, who have been married since they eloped in 1988, were splitting up circled in 2009 shortly after Sarah stepped down from the Alaska governor's office. The National Enquirer had reported that both Palins had had extramarital affairs, and a blog called AlaskaReport.com alleged that the report had "led to a deterioration of their marriage." At the time, the Palin camp shot down those rumors via Facebook, saying through a spokesperson that "the Palins remain married [and committed to each other and their family."

It would not surprise me if he is very much interested in getting his hands on as much of her recent ill gotten gains as he possibly can. As for getting divorced, they could do as many super-rich couples do - stay together for the cameras, and let each other have as many affairs as their libidos desire.
