Makes sense. Germans have always been good with tech, U-Boats, rockets, jet engines, etc. and we were just starting the Cold War.

How is this news now when it has been known since the 70's that the Army and the OSS protected some Nazi's because they might be useful to us in the Cold War. Scientists and SS officers with intelligence experience in Russia where the prime candidates for protection under Paper Clip. We did the same in Japan with people that should have been tried for War Crimes but they had information we wanted, the most notorious was the guy that ran the Japanese bio-war in China.

Boy - I would LOVE to do that. they provided false documents, money and transporation to get the Nazis out. the Pope watched from his window at the Vatican and the Nazis rounded up the Italian Jews for transport - - an did nothing.
