Adam Carolla Explains Proper Bathroom Etiquette (VIDEO)

Adam Carolla has been called many things, but one accusation he'll never hear is that he's too withholding of his opinions. The podcast king and "In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks" author (check out a recent Q&A) has put out a new video on College Humor instructing (male) viewers on proper public restroom etiquette.

Carolla doesn't mince words as he displays the most egregious offenses that men exhibit in the bathroom, and how they can and should be corrected. Considering he has the most popular podcast, "The Adam Carolla Show," expect for his bathroom advice to be heeded by all.

Here's the deal, you walk into the Mens room, there are two urinals, one for tall people and one for not so tall people. If you're under 5 feet 10 inches and I'm being generous here, you and your junk should be whizzin in the not so tall people urinal. I'm 6 foot 4 and if I come in and catch you at the tall people urinal, I'll pee on your neck...have a Great Day !

The never ending argument about whether to leave the seat up or down is my pet peeve. One part of the argument is to leave it one way or the other as a convenience to the next person (but how do you know what the sex of the next person is? Or even if it is a male, how do you know what he is going to do?)

The thing that is forgotten is that there are two things to lift - the seat and the lid. I vote for ALWAYS leaving both down and let the next person adjust them to whatever is most convenient for them (and I say this after having dropped toothbrushes and cell phones in bathrooms - I don't like to go fishing for them).

What is really disgusting is when people leave the can and proceed to talk on the phone after touching the handle, door, etc. in the bathroom. Do they now know that those things have fe cal matter, blood, urine and other bodily fluids on them? Then they take that phone and talk while they eat. I'm sick just thinking about it.

My husband was in a public restroom and I was waiting outside. A man walked past me and said hello, and proceeded to go into the restroom and start a conversation with my husband, first he asked if the woman in the hall was his wife, and then proceeded to ask my husband if he wants to buy some Viagra from him... my husband declined and washed his hands and hurried away.

That's something that should be mentioned, selling someone drugs while they are trying to pee. And since the guy came out of the restroom pretty quickly after my man, I would also assume he does not wash his hands. My male friends and family members say they believe 60% of men do not attempt to wash their hands after using the restroom. That is revolting.

I also know for a fact that some woman think merely wetting their hands enough to remove the soap they covered their hand with is good enough. No, you have to lather up and wash your hand with warm water. That means you may have to wait for the warm water, and during that time you get be lathering up more. Last time I was waiting for the restroom at my work, my boss used the restroom before me and she only had the water on for less than 5 seconds before I heard her turn it off. That doesn't count! And she had my pay stub in there with her. ewww

The temperature of the water is irrelevant - unless it's boiling, and even then, it's not considered sterilized unless it has been submerged in the boiling water for several minutes.
