Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods' Alleged Mistress, Finally Opens Up About Her Affair

Rachel Uchitel, the first alleged mistress of Tiger Woods to be named when the sex scandal unraveled, finally broke her silence and discussed her affair with the Daily Mail.

"I'm only telling my story now so that people can discover what sort of girl I am and learn the truth about me," she reportedly explained. "If they still choose to hate me, then so be it. But I never set out to hurt anyone."

She disucussed how her life changed on September 11, 2001, when her 32-year-old husband-to-be, an investment banker named Andrew O'Grady, died in the World Trade Center. According to the report, Uchitel talked about how she "went through hell" and needed to leave New York City, resulting in her moving to Las Vegas.

Uchitel, who reportedly bought a $1.995 million condo in New York City, was said to have talked about her addiction to love and revealed that she became "emotionally invested in a series of bad relationships."

"Since I lost Andy, I have always been looking for the perfect man. I wanted a man who would marry me, give me the house and children I long for," Uchitel reportedly said. "I plunged headfirst into relationships which I should never have been in."

She went on to say that she regrets sleeping with the married man.

Uchitel, who was reported to have told a close friend in August that she wants Woods back, insisted that she is not a woman impressed by money and that she just wanted to be loved.

The only explanation for all the hateful comments here is that none of you have ever suffered or faced an emotional crisis in your life. Or you haven't dealt with your own stuff yet and are still in the stage of projecting it onto other people.

Although there are major differences between this gal and myself, there are certainly commonalities: dysfunctional/addictive parent(s), the loss of our father at 15, resulting insecurities that manifest as a series of bad relationships and promiscuity (i.e. love addiction), and the sudden death of a significant other.

Fortunately, I have come a very long way in my healing and now work with others suffering from a myraid of issues. I wish Rachel nothing but the best. That she may come to know the love and beauty that already resides within her. As I do for every one of us, because only then will we live in a loving and peaceful world.

Like any other addiction: you find and heal the places inside you that feel unworthy and less than. All forms of addiction are an attempt to avoid feeling unwanted feelings that typically stem from dysfunctional and/or abusive childhoods.
