Zestra

sfgate.com:

In an apparent double standard, many networks and some websites have declined the company's ads; a few will air them during the daytime, and others only after midnight.

Which Zestra is better, the Creamy Italian or the Raspberry Vinegarette?

How about spinning it so it's a men's product? "Zestra - men will enjoy sex more if only their ladies were aroused." Then it would run in the middle of cartoons.

Obviously, the way to get these commercials to air is to just slightly repurpose an existing, accepted one -

For example, I suggest, instead of "Oil of Olay", "Oil of OMG"...

This product clearly undermines the foundations of monogamy: if women realize they can consistently enjoy a much better quality of sexual pleasure, their standards in men may go up, causing crappy, substandard males all over the country to actually treat a woman well, lest she drop him for a man that's worth a damn.

Though I may be prejudiced in this regard; I LIKE women to enjoy their time with me, and take my role in such quite seriously. Anything at all which causes women to enjoy sex more (and thus raise their standards) needs to be advertised at LEAST as frequently as Viagra, etc. :D

Yes, there's a double standard. But I don't think that's all that's at work here.

If they could take a viagra ad, remove the word "viagra" and replace it with "zestra", and replace the warnings with "This product is not intended to prevent, treat, or cure any disease. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.", it would be interesting to see whether the ad would run. That would violate copyright on the viagra ad, but they could make something very similar.

If something for men is not approved by the FDA, and it's marketed to enhance rather than to treat a medical problem, well, we've all gotten those emails in our spam folders.

Enzyte is not FDA approved and is called a natural male enhancement product. The ads with the creepy smiling Bob are all over CNN and ESPN even during the day.

It says it contains theobromine and another plant extract with related drug action (not a drug under US law, though) as well as another raw-form drug that I don't know what it does, and a couple of oils that are commonly taken as essential-fatty-acid supplements.

Do yourself and us a favor, do some research before assuming you know what is in the product. If you go to the Zestra webpage you can find all the ingredients, clinical trials ect on the FAQ page.

I'll make this easy and cite my resource ---> http://www.zestra.com/about/faqs
