Bristol Palin Battles DWTS Conspiracy Theories

Bristol Palin Dancing With The Stars

Politics Daily:

"I think I'm definitely relatable to the audience out there, and untouched and raw and vulnerable," Bristol said, adding later, "No offense to anyone else, but I'm not fake. . . . I'm not typical Hollywood."

She does come from politics, however, and that's where the voting controversy comes from.

"She deserves it," DWTS executive producer Conrad Green tells PEOPLE. "And a significant portion of our viewing audience believes that, too."

THIS IS A FIX SHOW, now we know why judges gave her great marks, will never watch it

If she deserves it because she is an unwed mother how much of her $$$$ is she going to donate to support other unwed mothers that don't get to sell their sad stories and pictures. How about Conrad Green making a donation. How about DWTS tell us how many bogus votes for each dancer were tossed. I smell a rat.

People do realize that this is just a TV show, right? If you’re really that upset about Bristol making the final three, then you need to look at your life and re-evaluate what matters. Why are you so angry by this? Did she run over your dog or something? Who is she in the scheme of things? Nobody! Will anyone remember her 2, 3 or 5 years from now? Probably not. The amount of irrational anger directed at Bristol, combined with complete loathing of Sarah Palin is enough to give some of these commentators a heart attack. Do yourself a favor and turn off the TV.

Well, I can't say that I've ever taken this show seriously as an authentic dance competition. Fortunately, I have other things to do on Monday and Tuesday nights.

I don't think glamorizing an unwed mom sets a good example. Better being in school and getting a degree. How about someone that did run over a dog for the next competition? What are the guidelines for being a star?
04:32 PM on 11/21/2010
I agree that glamorizing an unwed mom is wrong. So why not then direct that type of rage on '16 and Pregnant' or 'Teen Mom', which clearly exploit and profit on unwed, teenage motherhood? I don't think ABC has guidelines for a star, only casting a popular name that can produce ratings. It's obviously working since we're all here blogging about it.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if I learned for sure that this "competition" was fixed, as I suspect the same of most other "reality" shows, which seem about as "real" as a three-dollar bill. I recently learned that Ms. Palin's mother once came in third in a beauty pageant that was won by a young black woman. It must have gladdened her vengeful heart to see a talented black woman (Brandy) sent packing while her own daughter, a vastly inferior and mediocre dancer, was allowed to remain. However, this entire "competition" reeks anyway.

She is as fake as it comes
http://www.conservatives4palin.com/
this is how they get their votes, by cheating.

Untouched. It sounded in 2008 like she was pretty f!ckin touched. How are any of these other contestants "typically Hollywood"? How is Jennifer Grey? Brandy?

Next season on Dancing With the Stars: Christine O'Donnell, Basil Marceaux Dot Com, the Maytag Repair Man, and the deceased but dug-up body of Thelma Ritter.

I think it's funny because it is a popularity contest. This is why most countries that are democratic are a representative democracy and not a direct democracy.

So much fuss! I have never watched DWTS, but now I'd like to see Bristol and her partner dancing.
I better go to youtube.

Everyone that is this outraged or threatened by a young woman participating in an entertainment show on TV really needs to do some self examination, or perhaps seek professional guidance.

It's TV, it's entertainment. get a grip.

I smell a rat. I think that show is FIXED. There are so many people who are outraged that Brandy was sent home while Bristol remained. I have voiced my opinion to Aime Wolfe of the ABC Media Relations Dept.(phone 818-460-7421, or aime.wolfe@abc.com).

This election fraud wipes out the credibility of DWTS.

I agree. It seemed to me that the judges were way more generous with Miss Palin than the more talented dancers AND it's pretty obvious that Sara's pac has kept Bristol in the competition. I hate the way the Palin's bash Hollywood and the media but jump in front of a camera every chance they get. I don't think I will be watching DWTS in the future.

Any proof of your accusation?

Those that are this upset with DWTS should not watch, which is your right and choice.

It works.

Bristol is "not Hollywood" and Sarah is "not Washington"...but they will do ANYTHING to get there and stay there!
Bristol has had more opportunities because of her mother than any unwed mom I can think of.
Cut the 'we're just like you" routine...you lost the right to say that when you stepped on the national stage.
It's really getting OLD!

My sympathy goes to better-performing contestants who were dropped because Bristol's rating was determind by popular vote rather than by the judges' ratings. Since this is the way DWTS works, it has to be followed. Since the voting pattern will probably continue, Bristol will be awarded the trophy, making a mockery of an otherwise delightful show. What a travesty.

Bristol is the loser in the long run because she is learning the wrong lessons about life.

Finally, could this also apply to the success of tea party candidates in the recent primaries and elections. How much of a role did competence and merit play? How much did name-dropping? Gullible Americans need to resist being manipulated, as DWTS has been.

Fan'd and Fave'd. Very astute observation.

I must agree that Bristol is the only hefty woman who's been on the show for any length of time who actually succeeded in gaining weight!! So we know you're not workin' that hard, honey. Just give up the "I'm workin' my butt off" line because you clearly are not. Raw, vulnerable, untouched?? Seriously, do you own a dictionary? You should have been gone from this show weeks ago.

Honey as much as I feel sorry that you have to live in your mothers shadow. I have noted three things about your stay on DWTS one you haven't lost any weight since you started and dancing is a high impact exercise routine and you have been consistently at the bottom of the leader board since it started ain't gone by \now you ain't ever going to be gone.

LOL

"Raw?"

Clearly!

Bristol, YOU NASTY!

In the past DWTS has managed to skirt political controversy even with very right wing contestants. It's always been just about the dancing - a chance to forget about partisanship for a moment and just have a good time. I don't begrudge Bristol's good showing on DWTS. But I am highly offended by the overweening influence of her mother on the show. She is a media parasite. Plain and simple.
