We are humiliating our own people and making ourselves a laughingstock across the world. Well done, TSA!

Did anyone else burst with laughter when they showed the "RapeScan Systems" logo?

OK. We are now the laughingstock of Taiwan. Something has to change.

I predict there will come a day where everyone has to strip, then will receive a hospital gown, and only then be allowed to board the plane with the gown on.

It's getting that crazy.

The GOP Mafia that wants President Obama to "fail" have already failed themselves. Dubbya was in office ten months and 9/11 happened; Barack Obama has been President 22 months and attempted attacks have been intercepted. Seems to me the professionals have been doing their jobs. The scanners (if you ask me) should only be used as a backup in suspicious or ambiguous cases.

I like their idea! hahahaha :)

Does anyone else have the feeling that we are cattle in a large pen owned by private corporations. They herd us into wars, into deficits, into scanners all for profit and we march on like sheep to the slaughter!

Yes Progressneeded - I feel the same way although I am not from the USA. It's scary when I think my country's government would do that. It's the same almost everywhere when you think of it. Microchipping? Getting global! Flu Vaccine? Getting global. Are we now herds of cattle waiting to be slaughtered?

Orlando airport Kicks out the TSA!

The scanner ridiculousness was the last straw, and apparently it can be done. Airports take notice: you have options.

Err...well Taiwanese market =/= Chinese market...as much as the Chinese won't admit it, Taiwan is very much a separate country and economy.

From my experience flying from south of the border back to the US it is much easler to get here than it is to leave. Down south you are not required to remove shoes and there are no exhanced pat downs.
You would think it would be easier to leave the US than come into it.

"All people"? I wish Dubbya, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Don Blankenship et al. were in fact treated like the criminals they are.

Someone at TSA (probably Chertoff himself) has a sweatheart deal with the body scanner manufacturers, whereby they get a kick back on every scanner the TSA buys. These TSA people are really unbelievable when it comes to their stupidity and brute force methods. They ought to learn from the Israelis, who, through the years have developed a much more effective and cheaper security system that relies on intelligence, not brute force. And they have had excellent results.
