George W. Bush Makes Pat-Down Joke On Leno (VIDEO)

First Posted: 11/19/10 12:18 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

George W. Bush's appearance on last night's "Tonight Show" was an interesting one. Jay Leno and the former president didn't just discuss his new book "Decision Points," but also his regret about the "mission accomplished" banner and his former drinking problem. Leno thanked Bush for all the material he provided for his comedy act over the last ten years, and even let Bush demonstrate his own comedic skills.

In a quick comedy bit at the staff entrance to the "Tonight Show" set, Bush is patted-down by security. In light of the recent controversy over TSA pat-downs in airports, it was quite funny to hear Bush tell the man patting him down to "Go easy, grope master." Hear it for yourself in the clip below. "Nope, no WMD over here either (snort, chuckle, smirk)"

The Giggling Killer does not merely survive. He prevails, in triumph.

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

Maybe next week Leno will have Claus Barbie on for a skit.

Because a Cheney Sleeper Cell operative was elected as a Democratic president

Comedians make fun of regular people everyday, but seeing Bush make fun of them is especially poignant and special.

Bush remains as clueless as ever obviously.

"Playing dumb" has been a time-honored Republican m.o. from Reagan to Quayle to Bush to Palin. While one hand plays dumb, the other hand makes radical changes.

And liberals pat themselves on the back for derisively snickering at the dumb hand, ignoring the rest.

Fitting, given the fact that Bush "groped" America for the eight years he was president, - from spying, torture, taking the country to war on a whim and a false lie. You get the picture.

There is the irony of this TSA business. They let a body worth of WMS passed the screening and walk into the studio. Of cause this WMS has already done his damage to the country. However, the depleted Bush is still dangerous to humanity.

Shikamaru,
What is B235 and B120?

Typical conservative. He destroys the 4th amendment (illegal unreasonable search and seizure), then mocks the fact it is gone. With his arms outstretched, he could have been mocking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (dumb stupid God, what was he thinking). Since his entire life has been a lie, including his alleged drinking and conversion over to Christianity, he should go out with a bang and mock all the lemming Christians who put him in office thinking he was a Jesus lover when he could care less about them our any of their ridiculous beliefs. He used Christians to get into power. He lied to all of you, and you all bought the lie. HA HA HA HA HA HA.

wow, I make a comment agreeing with the above poster, and then comparing similarities with Obama (they both are guilty of the same types of things) and it's removed within 5 minutes?

No swearing, I didn't attack anyone, I didn't make things up.

What gives?

Seriously, will this Mission ever be Accomplished?
I had a very bad dream. Cheney tried to board a commercial flight and they disconnected his artificial heart while patting him died. He died. I told you it was a bad dream.

I like to think I have a great sense of humor, but this rubs me the wrong way.

No pun intended.

"Leno thanked Bush for all the material he provided for his comedy act over the last ten years"

Leno spent nearly all 8 of the Bush years telling Clinton jokes. Only after Katrina (and not immediately after) and Bush's "heckuva job, Brownie" did Leno begin to do some tepid jokes about GW. Leno is just another self-serving, rich Republican.

this is no "funnier" than his "searching" his office for WMD's.
