It didn't take long for the Twitter world to respond to breaking news this afternoon that Joe Scarborough has been suspended from MSNBC.

Here are some of the first reactions. Vote on whether you agree with each and let us know great tweets we may have missed.

Pertinent to this article is the following quote:
"Never talk when you can nod. And never nod when you can wink. And never write email because its death. You’re giving prosecutors all the evidence we need." -Elliot Spitzer, February 2006
We perceive the above statement as radiating /emitting feelings of fear and loneliness. It is perhaps more reminiscent of George Orwell's 1984 and the Siberian Cold than of America's culture and political system as intended by its founding fathers... your thoughts and comments are more than welcome at our advanced-thought café –a communication forum for industry leaders… http://www.ceceandmark.com/blog.html

At MSNBC, if you give campaign donations to Democratic candidates, you get suspended. If you donate to Republicans, you too get suspended.

Meanwhile, at FOX News, if you are found to have donated to a Democratic cause, you'll probably get fired. If they discover that you donated to Republicans, .... they'll make you Employee of the Month.

So it will be like a normal week... Joe shows up for about 8 hours a week anyway right? He will just have to actually be on the show for three days to make up for it ;-)

forbidding someone from donating his/her own money to the political candidate of their choice is almost as bad as forbidding them to vote .

HO HUM - this post was just a small story while KO's suspension rated the top spot. We all know who Joe Scarborough is and what his politics are. Just don't watch it.

Scarborough is supposed to be suspended for two days only, after contributing for years. While Olbermann's suspension was indefinite and with out pay. That is a big story!

Joe Scarsborough and the hubris he dons like a cheap suit, can now be tailored at Fox whenever he likes. Only thing is he probably won't go for it as he would be unable to stand out amid the noise of similar barking dogs.

Joe Scar. is no Keith O. no way no how...............Joe wishes he was though. Let Joe and Meika run for office so Msnbc can hire Imus back.

I'm going to tweet a twitter member about this comment on twitter about this twitter reaction. Hopefully, it will cause a recursion loop and subsequent meltdown in twitterland.

Having been in a similar situation in the past where I was singled out and after a battle was begun, then an entire group was eliminated so as not to show the appearance of inequity. I believe Scarborough was suspended as it was already known that he had contributed to campaigns same as Olbermann. If MSNBC did not impose the same or similar suspension, they would likely be getting sued. I suspect that this evens up Olbermann's suspension so he can not sue them for unfair practices. I also suspect the amount of publicity and outrage at his indefinite suspension made MSNBC rescind the suspension. Be smart people. This happened to me and I could have sued had everyone in a program NOT been given the same letter I received all on the whim a one person who didn't like what I said.

No great loss. Two days isn't long enough.
