“Oprah's Favorite Things”

Ratings and cookware, popcorn and pies,
herb fronds and undies of undisclosed size.
Oodles of Hope cream expressed in a jar.
Let’s not forget the Volkswagon car.

Jeans and a jewel box, earrings and token
Crisp crusty crossaints (unfortunately broken).
Tea set and tome and a JM CD,
Then something I’d not pick, oh! deary me.

Sony A55 beats it. But she probably wanted some Nikon swag.

Not that I instantly go "O", but I thought it was neat that I have already ordered this for our "family" present.

My company has both Nikon and Canon cameras. You can't go wrong with either one, but I prefer Canon. I will have to try out this D3100 though. It has a nice list of features for the price.

They failed to mention what really sets it apart - the Nikkor lenses. They are excellent.

Good time to get a Canon T2i: body only price drop to $699. Full HD (1920 x 1080p, 24 fps) and inexpensive kit lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is light, sharp and image stabilized.

There's also a ton of aftermarket peripheral products (batteries, monitors, and follow focus rigs that make it a less expensive but high quality cine camera.

Check out T2i at Vimeo to see what the quality is like. Here's one of my favorites:

I don't think the D3000 will shoot video larger than 720p.

I think the D3100 can record 1080p video.
