Sharron Angle Campaign Team Profiled Democrats & Reporters, Ex-Staffer Claims

Sharron Angle Democrat Profiling

Failed Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle's (R) campaign had an established protocol for handling people who "looked like" members of the undesirable trio of Democrats, Reid supporters and the press, a former member of the Angle team recently admitted to Jon Ralston, dean of Nevada political reporting.

Here's what Ralson says he learned from the Angle insider:

Team Angle put campaign volunteers through a three-hour indoctrination. Included was an instruction of what to do if anyone came into the office who looked like a Democrat, a Reid supporter or a member of the media -- they all look alike! -- and that order was to dial a certain extension in front of the interloper and say, "It's time to water the plants." Sounds like Don Adams might have been on the other end of the line. You can't make this stuff up, folks.

Though there was apparently no further insight into the supposed key identifiers of Democrats and the other groups, such actions seem to be in line with a campaign and a candidate that became renowned for their strict devotion to avoiding difficult interactions.

Most notably, Angle was accused of dispatching a decoy to avoid facing the media after a press event in October.

And if it seems that Angle's camp would have been more respectful or accommodating to the Tea Party groups that supported her heavily throughout her campaign, think again.

Another gem from Ralston's report:

Finally, the political pros had their own handle for the local tea partiers who sometimes had Angle's ear. They took to calling them collectively: The Island of Misfit Toys. In case, you don't know the reference, it's from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a place where defective or unwanted toys are sent.

I think she began to understand, understandably, that there were, and are, people who just didn't and don't like her. I CAN'T be the only one who dislikes her.

That's fine. The rest of us profiled her too and determined she was unfit for public office.
Nuff said.

A typical right-winger that has ZERO ability to argue in substance any sort of major issue so she runs from ANYONE who would dare ask her to explain her stance in depth

She hides from the press for the same reason Palin and the rest hide from the press, She cant intelligently defend her psychotic positions. Also like Palin she is a flat earther, intellectual light weight and a religious fundamentalist. Thank goodness Nevada came to its senses.

Sooooo in short Sharron Angle was treating the Tea Party, her most ardent supporters, as if they were "short school bus riders"? All the while taking their money, smiling in their faces, looking in their eyes and swearing "we are all the same"? Little did she know how true she was on at least one point: She is also a citizen of The Island of Misfit Toys.

These former campaign staffers are doing all of us a great disservice. They WAIT until after the campaign and then tell the public stuff like this. A woman who profiles Democrats, runs from any and all media and tells a group of Hispanic kids that they look Asian is not really a good candidate to elect...but do they ever defect when it could do the most good and tell the public this stuff when it could actual mean something? No. They stay with the campaign...knowing that this candidate is unfit to be elected.

Truth in advertising.  Isn't.

She's a US citizen and legal Nevada resident of age so she is certainly fit to be elected. She's just not fit to govern ...

The video shots showing Angle running away from reporters couldn't have helped her campaign very much. Although that was just one of many factors, of course. Her core problem is that she's a poor excuse for a human being. I couldn't believe that she arrogantly told one reporter what her position was on the Middle East _after_ she was elected. Since she won't be going to the Senate except maybe in the visitors' gallery, I guess we'll never know what her position is. It will just remain one of those eternal mysteries that nobody really cares about.

Correction: she arrogantly told one reporter _she would say_ what her position was on the Middle East _after_ she was elected.

Reid's career was toast - until Angle came along. Amazing how the Right blows easy election wins by backing horrible candidates.

Here's something to try for the next election. It works on both sides, and it's easy.

"The people" should take up a mantra. Whenever a politician goes off on a tangent or practices the fine art of the "sidestep," three words will call them out: "Answer the question." And it's not to be said as a question, but rather as a command.

Answer the question.

Guilt and peer pressure can be very effective. The politicians might pretend not to care, but if enough voices call for the same thing, well..........

Answer the question.

Wow, try to brainwash the MSM and Talking heads on Cable into this.  Start now. ...they are slow learners.  Then perhaps the ratings would be even at least.  Great idea.
