Everybody should learn how to swim, even our furry friends in the animal kingdom!

While we've got some pictures you would expect like whales and dolphins, you'll also find some surprising pictures of baby animals who need to get some swimming skills before they get big.

You should be clear about the difference between captive dolphins, orca etc and those that are free

Back when I was in college I visited Chicago to see my girlfriend on New Year's Eve. We drove down to the Lake Shore Drive and parked near the aquarium. It was very windy and the waves were crashing onto the shore with ferocity chilling us to the bone. But my girlfriend told me it would be worth it to get close to see a special sight. We walked up near the aquarium and you could see a reflection off the top of the upper glass showing the Beluga Whales in their aquarium! It definitely was worth braving the elements to see such a sight.

Oh. I saw the pictures of the man bottle feeding the little thing a few days ago and was so glad he was being given a chance. (People working to save an animal just touch me to the quick.) I'm so sorry that he didn't make it. Poor little darlin'.

Very cool. I like lil' critters. I was shown a close-up photo of a friend's just-hatched pet baby tortoise on a quarter, and it didn't even cover the quarter. Looked just like the adults though.
