John Ensign Reelection 2012

The Las Vegas Sun:

If Sen. John Ensign began last week with a declaration of his 2012 candidacy that earned him more raised eyebrows than ravenous applause, he got a moment at the end to shake his fist at his naysayers.
...
Still, Ensign lacks two things that would be necessary to wage a convincing fight. One is a war chest. The other is a party to back him up.

What gall to ask voters to even consider sending him back to Congress. He should have already resigned.

Why in the world is he still in office? I mean seriously Harry! This is worse than Larry Craig. You may be friends but he's a crook. He was clearly paying people for their silence. He should be gone. As should Vitter?

He has no integrity and he does not deserve to be re-elected!

Why, is Sharron "Second Amendment remedies" or Sue "Chicken for Checkups" running?

And we will be running the campaign based on post-Obama, traditional, time-honoured and slightly redefined Republican family values. Please send your donations and support to 1-800-IAM-SUCKER. Most gratefully, John CMYFINGER Ensign.

Ensign being in trouble in 2012 should be a given, not a question.

The GOP has no problem with cheatin politicians. Look at Newt. He's thinking about running for president.

Two things missing? Well the first two that I thought he might be missing were morals and credibility. Then I remembered those are both non-essential in modern politics.

This article cites another GOP womanizer caught with his pants down who managed to retain his seat, David Vitter. I don't think the American public has changed its mind about this sort of misstep but the voting machines have.
As the criminal investigation are picking up where the toothless FED has left off, he may not make it to 2012.

If you have to pay somebody $96,000.00 to keep their mouth shut, they're not your longtime family friend...

odds are he won't be in much trouble, his scandals will be too old for the voters to care anymore.

I think it would be a great idea if Sharron Angle decided to primary him.

I think it would be great if Sharron Angle stayed in Nevada and didn't inflict her crazy ideas on the rest of the country.
