'DeepFreeze,' Photographer Robert McCabe's Book, Chronicles 1959 Antarctic Trip (PHOTOS)

Legendary photographer Robert McCabe got his first camera when he was 5-years old. He has traveled the world chronicling scenes from the Antarctic to Cuba during his long career.

In October, McCabe published "DeepFreeze! A Photographer's Antarctic Odyssey in the Year 1959," an account of photos he took as a 24-year old photographer on assignment for the New York Sunday Mirror Magazine. The photos are simply stunning, and a true feat in not just photojournalism but travel journalism.
