Kate Middleton Bullied By Queen Elizabeth II In Hilarious 'SNL' Sketch (VIDEO)

First Posted: 11/21/10 02:50 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

"Saturday Night Live" didn't waste any time parodying the highly publicized engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton last night, and lucked out with host Anne Hathaway playing a very convincing Kate. In the sketch, Prince William's bride-to-be is left to get acquainted with Queen Elizabeth II (played hilariously by Fred Armisen) and Prince Philip (Bill Hader) and gets a lot more than she bargained for. As soon as they are left alone, Philip and the Queen break into thick, Cockney accents and begin harassing her to no end, assuring her that "This aint 'The Princess Diaries'" as they reveal who they really are.

Perhaps my favorite skit of the show.

They must've watched a TON of Eastenders before doing those accents..

It's the first time I've seen American TV actually acknowledge different British accents in the same sketch.

How is SNL still on the air they haven't been funny in DECADES! They had a bit of a breather with Tina Fey doing Palin, but overall this show died with the 70's.

I agree with Glenn's sister. SNL had its moments in the 80's and 90's too, but the 2000's really takes the piss.

Now that they have an actual black guy (with Obama's body type) on the cast to play the President, will Fred Armisen kindly--as they say across the pond--sod off?

Jay Pharoah has an absolutely dead-on impression of Obama that he used to break out in his stand-up gigs.

But he's just a featured player, whereas Armisen is an actual star, and there's no way someone that low on the totem pole will get to play the president on SNL.

I've seen Pharoah's Obama imitation, it's awful. Same as his Denzel...lame.

Legs spread,foot on chair.
Awkward.
Male cockney voice for the Queen.
Bad choice.
Should have been a female version.
The Prince was a real street urchin ,just perfect.
But this satire of the Queen is offensive.

Carol Burnett's version is so much better,
And Maggie Smith!
Reclusive star of Harry Potter.
Makes a rare appearance and nails it as a hooker!
Carol Satires with class and dignity!
While still being a Passive aggressive B!tch!

Watch and learn children of the corn!
