Katie Holmes As Jackie O In 'The Kennedys' Poster (PHOTO)

Katie Holmes plays Jackie Kennedy Onassis in the History Channel's upcoming eight-part miniseries 'The Kennedys,' and she looks a lot like the former first lady in a new promo poster.

"I feel so lucky," Katie told Us Weekly. 'We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things [Kennedy] wore. Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her."

Greg Kinnear costars as JFK and Barry Pepper as Bobby in the miniseries, airing in early 2011.

I hope she looks better than the poster, because that is one ugly Jackie O. The cheek bones are way too big and too low. The eyes are pulled down too much -- Jackie O's eyes were oblong.

Katie certainly did a lot for her career by hooking up with the ole Tom Cat, just like Nicole Kidman, come to think of it. I don't think she'd have been considered for this role otherwise.

Oh I think Katie Holmes will do just fine as Jackie for this time in her life. I believe she has much in common with the Jackie of this era, basically be seen and not heard. It was not until after the death of JFK did Jackie become her own woman.
