Sharron Angle: 'I Have A Lot Of Options' For Running In 2012

Sharron Angle 2012 Campaign

LAS VEGAS — Republican Sharron Angle says she was shocked by her Nov. 2 loss to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, but in looking forward has "lots of options" to weigh as she decides her next political step.

"I will always be involved in politics. I have a lot of options next cycle," Angle told the Lahontan Valley News. "Lots of options."

Nevada's other U.S. Senate seat is up in 2012 and as many as four congressional seats could be in play by then. Angle, a former state representative, said she also could seek a term in the Nevada Senate.

A favorite of the tea party, Angle has stayed mostly out of the public arena since her loss to Reid, and the interview Saturday with the newspaper was her first since then with northern Nevada media.

Angle told the newspaper she was shocked to have lost to Reid after some polls showed her leading in the weeks leading up to the race. Angle fared much better rural areas than urban ones and had harsh words for voters in the bigger cities of Las Vegas and Reno.

"I find the people in the rural counties more educated on the issues and seem to be more tied into their communities," she said. "The urban areas seem to have more of a disconnect from the issues that affect their communities."

Angle also blamed Reid for the negative tone that both sides took as the campaign wore on, saying he forcing her to fight back after he released a flood of negative TV spots.

"I would have liked to have run a more positive campaign and been able to put out a more positive message," Angle said. "But it was not possible. He had battered me with his campaign ads and left me with no room."

Also jarring to Angle were the handful of Nevada Republicans who endorsed Reid. She singled out Reno Mayor Bob Cashell and Sparks Mayor Gino Martini.

"That was the most surprising blow," she said. "I always thought in the end there is some kind of loyalty, but they shifted loyalties to the fellow who could deliver the pork."

Maybe Angle and Christy McConnell can masturbate together. Two homecumming queens.

Obtuse strikes again! More ridiculous Pronouncements from On Low. She has options. Yeah. LIke I got options to play Center for the Lakers. You have dreams, madame, and they are as ludicrous as mine. In fact, if there is any justice in this universe, I would be Phil Jackson's next big Big Man BEFORE this bent Oracle of the Inane will elected to any public office to a town with more than one stop light. Thus, in her decline, she will be, in her not very humble opinion, smarter than all us "city folk". Pah. When Porcine Aviation rules.

And she will get defeated again as her constant stupidity was a major factor in people staying awa from her

I live in Nevada and Sharron Angle kind of whitewashed some things in in her interview. Imagine that !!

The rural areas of Nevada tend to vote Republican and Las Vegas and Reno...our two most populated cities voted a majority for Democrat, Harry Reid. So...Ms. Angle was really trying to say that if you are a Republican living in a rural area in Nevada...you are more educated on the issues. Hogwash !!

Sharron Angle also said she wanted to run a more "positive campaign". Hindsight is a wonderful thing when you want to change the truth. Her political ads were some of the most negative that Nevada has seen in years...and she started the negative direction. Harry Reid just needed to come out fighting...if he was going to get re-elected with the smear campaign she was running.

Sharron Angle is two words...SORE LOSER !!!

One of her options for "running" in 2012 is running away from the press. She should start practicing that now.

Sharon Angle, "I still have a lot of crazy to spew in 2012".

I would be too much to hope for that she would just go quietly in to the night wouldn't it. In her mind there is still damage left to do to the country so she'll be all in for 2012.

The fact that Angle could not defeat a very unpopular Democratic incumbent in a Republican year tells you everything that you need to know about her political future.

Angle better be aware that in 2012 President Obama will be on the ticket therefore his voters will be at the ballot booth and they probably won't vote for her.
01:21 PM on 11/23/2010
The fact that almost half her state voted for her speaks volumes as to how dumb the electorate has become.

Better to light a light than curse the darkness. Provide information as to why people shouldn't support her. She still lost by a fair margin in a race that she was favored to win.

I'd say that she is the gift that keeps on giving, but these people continue to scare the hell out of me. Angle lost but her teabagger friends are on the rise in rural America.

"...Angle fared much better rural areas than urban ones..."

Of course she does. The rural areas are the bedrock of solid conservative values - like taking huge taxpayer $$$ in government subsidies, paying a pittance for expensive taxpayer funded dams and water projects to irrigate their properties, working one of the tens of thousands of jobs subsidized by the taxpayer supported military, and of course all those solid, conservative farmers who accept welfare when the lost their farms to large corporate agri-business.

Hey Angle please increase the dosage of your medications and try not to listen to the voices in your head telling you to run for political office! Just rest and try not to talk your craziness is apparent!

Can we pay this woman to stick around? I have to admit that I found the whole Alvin Greene thing very sharp and effectual. Maybe we could learn from the GOP's book of dirty tricks.
