Tony Parker's Lawyer Blindsides Eva Longoria: Report

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker both want their divorce to go smoothly, but Tony's sudden move Friday to file his own divorce papers angered Eva and complicated the process.

TMZ broke the story ... Tony filed his own divorce papers in Texas, just days after Eva filed in California. Sources tell us Eva's side had absolutely no idea Tony's lawyer filed the docs -- and, we're told, Eva was "very upset" when she found out.

Oh, please. Its not that unusual for both spouses to file their own divorce papers- and her lawyer would have told her that. I don't believe she was "blindsided" at all.

I guess the Divorce laws in Texas are pretty tough, why does she need spousal support ? she is a very wealthy successful woman and they have no Kids together. Alimony is a fraud that should be abolished pronto.

Exactly- and she probably won't get it either considering that they both signed a prenup stating that neither would file for alimony in the event they divorced. She is really coming off like a manipulative shrew in this whole thing. I'm not saying her husband having an emotional affair with another woman is justifiable, but she could handle this with a little dignity and stop treating it like another way to get press. Elin Nordegren is a great example of a woman conducting herself with class and dignity. She waited until AFTER the divorce before she said anything.

The whole point of getting a divorce is to show the person that they can't "mess with you", so there is really no need to be vindictive about it. Besides, you can't hurt someone without hurting yourself, so what is the point in that?

Of course she's upset. He just upset her plans to clean him out. Sheesh. Women like this (women who earn millions, but ask for spousal support) give other women (who work, but don't make even 5 figures) look bad. She should just honor the prenup and move on with her life. Yes, I am a woman, but fair is fair.

I know? I'm not saying what he did was right but its not like he is Tiger Woods or David Boreanaz. They couldn't have tried to work it out? Gone to counseling or something? My feeling is that they were having problems to begin with (which makes sense- people don't have emotional affairs when they're happy in their relationships) and were going to get divorced. She seems like she is using this as an opportunity to paint herself as a "victim".
