Spirit Airlines Computers CRASH, Further Delaying Travelers

First Posted: 11/24/10 11:37 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

Great timing, huh? A nationwide crash of Spirit Airlines' website has lead to even longer lines on what is considered the busiest travel day of the year, according to USA Today.

A spokesman told ClickOnDetroit.com that "our system is currently down, but we expect it to be up again shortly. In the meantime, we are checking in customers manually. Although this does take a bit more time, we do have additional staffing at our airports today and we are getting customers to their flights on time."

Having the words "airline" and "crash" in the same headline just doesn't feel good.
