Brad Pitt Steps Out In Leather Cargo Pants: Hit Or Miss? (PHOTOS, POLL)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stepped out to the Paris premiere of "Megamind" on Monday night and although Angie looked smashing as always, it was Mr. Pitt who stole the style spotlight in a pair of leather cargo pants by Julius Sheep.

Okay, so we're not sure they're leather -- they could be PVC (save the animals) -- but there is definite pocket action and some bunching around the knees.

He paired his party pants with a dark gray coat, sweater and skinny scarf.

Well, gee, that's the plight of being Brad Pitt (and especially of being married to the guy): he can walk down the carpet (I see here that it isn't red...stuff's changed since my childhood), dressed in the most ridiculous getup (leather cargo pants? Yes, a bit silly, but I've seen far, FAR worse), and Angie would *still* need her Louisville Slugger™ (obviously held in her unseen hand...what do you mean, "I didn't know that?") to fend off the overheated masses. Celebrity, she's a you-know-what, but someone has to get paid to do it.
