Chicago Magazine Names 40 Favorite Chicago Meals (PHOTOS)

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Chicago Magazine has been rounding up everything they love about the Windy City. This week, they unveiled one of the many reasons they love this city: the great neighborhood food.

The magazine polled reviewers, contributors and foodies around town and listed their 40 favorite dishes found in various Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs.

What? No mention of Portillo's? Come on, they have the best beef and hot dogs in the city, not to mention chocolate cake---AND they are a LOCAL restaurant.

Portillos, IMO, is over-priced and bland. Johnnie's is inexpensive and very delicious. Hand's down they have the best Italian beef and sausage in Chicagoland. As for hot dogs, anyone can wrap a Vienna in a bun...

Sorry, Portillo's beef is the best in chicago, especially with the hot peppers...how can you call that "bland"...OMG.
