Teva Stilettos: Cool Or Crime Of Fashion? (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 11/30/10 12:34 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

Styleite stumbled upon perhaps the most mind-blowing pair of shoes we've ever seen -- and we're Lady Gaga watchers. Introducing the "Grey Ant x Teva Stiletto" by New High (M)art.

Based on pictures, you can push a wheelbarrow while wearing them and even climb craggy mountains. Just kidding! A disclaimer reads: "Not recommended for actual hiking, gardening, mountain climbing, or Phish concerts." Like, whooaaaa, not coooool, dude. But make sure, as with all Tevas, that you don the footwear with socks. Yours for only $330.

What do you think?

Quick Poll

Teva stilettos:

I'd wear 'em...they're not SO bad.

CRIME. OF. FASHION.

Actually, they're kind of cute. I don't wear heels but I think they'd look fine for people who do. I also can't wear tevas because that triangle thingee pokes me in the foot. owie. Lots of people do though.

Really? You're supposed to always wear Teva's with socks? I have about five pairs and I never have worn socks with them.

OMG eye bleach!!!! Worst idea since the high heeled construction boot fiasco! TIP: adding stilettos does NOT automatically make anything sexy or cool. These are a train wreck! What's next? Those knitted slipper things from Target with high heels?

gross. trashy. hipster misfire.

they are kind of fetching to look at as far as shoes with heels go . . . . but women have (haven't they?) figured out that shoes with heels are destructive to joints and even the whole cranial / sacral rhythm, cerebrospinal fluid replacement and goddess knows what else? i mean teva wearing women have figured it out not women in entertainment on red carpets and such.

If you live near the beach I think they'd be fine if youre still trying to be fashionable. Probably more comfortable than regular heels. But certainly wouldnt recommend wearing them for manual labor as the picture suggests. Thats just stupid.

I'm not sure whether form is being raped by function or vise versa.

Kinky!

The sole probably makes them safer than most high heels. And they are way better looking than all the boots with the open heels and toes, or the sandal/boot things that are a sandal at the foot and then more boot like at the ankle and up. These are much better than those things. They'd be cute with jeans and many skirts. Though, I would not do the socks.

Use these and the only thing you are in for is a sprained ankle. Two thumbs down.

in a way, i'm happy i messed up my back in a car accident some years ago... cause now i don't need to waste time convincing myself that walking around in shoes like these feels either "natural" or "comfortable"... or even "attractive" for that matter. my mom wore very high heels for years, and now she's paying the price with pain and really hideous looking feet. the human body is not meant to be abused like this.

my point too . . . high heels are an invention of patriarchy . . . which also invented women having to compete with each other for the attention and protection of men . . . which is happily passing off the planet although we still do it because our mothers did and their mothers did . . . you have to go back to the origins and to more natural ways of living to find ancestor women who didn't . . . here in oregon we can wear birkenstocks to the symphony if we want to . . . and anything else that is comfortable and natural and healthy . . .

Heels elongate your form and make your a** swing back and forth when you walk. I agree they are for men.

With skinny jeans in the summer, uber casual. Not with shorts. Not with skirts. Not with anything remotely dressy.

The advertisements make the shoes look really really ugly. Pictured by themselves, not a felony but at least a misdemeanor.

So....i guess Croc and Birkenstock Stilettos will follow??
