"America's Next Top Model" crowned the winner of its 15th cycle on Wednesday night, and it was Ann Ward. She's the six-foot-two stunner with possibly the smallest waist we've ever seen -- Miss J was able to wrap his hands around her trunk during the auditions for the show. Remember that?

WATCH:

Ann made it through the whole season, winning week after week until Miss Tyra pronounced her the chosen one and Chelsey the runner up. Ann will receive an Italian Vogue cover and editorial, a year of representation from IMG and a $100,000 Cover Girl Cosmetics contract.

The one thing I want to point out from a sick mindset is us anorexic girls. We are using her as thinspo right now as the debate goes on. It's a shame. We feel like if our bodies don't look like that, then we are not beautiful in anyone's eyes. Natural skinny or whatever, the point is thin is what matters in the world it seems. It gets pushed down our throats. So without further ado, I'm going to fast for a few days and see if I can reach 90 pounds. Just thought you guys needed insight into the mind of an anorexic girl if so many articles are going to ask how it will impact us. Well...I've told you how.

Considering this season of ANTM was "elevated", i.e. specifically aimed at true haute couture, Ann was the only girl I could see in any country's edition of Vogue. She needs to find and become secure with some kind of stylized runway walk - she clunks, and has tall-girl hunched posture - but for still photos, she's the sort of "Gawky Duckling" who could follow in the footsteps of Veruschka and Penelope Tree. I could also see her as muse to a specific designer, like Peggy Moffitt was to Rudi Gernreich.

Congratulations to Ann Ward. I would have selected her among others.

She is def. a looker. No surprise she won though..her figure will certainly cut down on the money normally spent photoshopping their bodies.

But does she eat? We know she doesn't exercise -- no muscle tone.

Psst....no one needs muscle tone at that age.
05:55 AM on 12/06/2010
The most beautiful young bodies have muscle tone, and it is just as important for young people to exercise as it is for old people.

One episode showed her teaching the other girls how to make deep-fried Oreos.

STUNNING GIRL, OBESE HATERS. If you watched the show, you would know that she's naturally skinny. Her body is what it is and she can't change it. So why not use the skinniness, height, and modelesque face to become a model? I would rather want models who are naturally skinny then girls who have to starve themselves to stay a certain size. And also what is aesthetically pleasing to you does not equal what the modeling industry finds attractive. She earned her win and is one of the best winners out of the top model franchise for the year 2010. Yeah she may have to work on her walk, but that can be fixed very easily. That's what a development board is for. She's already worked on her voice and did great in the finale episode. I don't see why having knowledge about the industry makes Chelsey a better choice. If she's been trying to model for 10 years why would she make it now? Maybe she's not what the clients want.

fan #2 - This Season of ANTM was all about high fashion, and Chelsey was a "catalog girl". Ann is my favorite Top Model of all 15 seasons.

She may be that naturally skinny, but girl's gotta do some squats or something. What if she has to pick something up

Has anyone else noticed that bushy eyebrows are coming back in style? And perhaps normal-sized lips are also coming in vogue. Nice. I'm tired of seeing artificially overblown lips. Ann looks very unique with her eyebrows and lips. Good luck, Girl!

And what are normal sized lips? We all have parts that come in different sizes and lots of people have naturally large lips, yes even white girls do too. So celebrate everyone, including slender girls.
07:21 AM on 12/06/2010
I mean lips that are THEIR normal size, not overinflated with collagen, which looks obvious and fake. BTW: I have full lips, and they're real and they're spectacular :)

I am so glad Ann won. I thought it was crazy that it took 15 cycles to finally have a winner who could actually get booked by major designers. ANTM's overall ratings have fallen off the charts recently, so I'm pretty sure Tyra wanted a real high fashion winner before the show gets canned.

It truly is wonderful week after week to watch the girls fast-forward into top model material. I love this show and there were so many girls that could have made top model this season. Congrats to Ann and to Chelsey, and my favorite Jane. Now the real work begins.

Nothing against Ann as a person, I wish her all the success in the world, but the consistency with which girls with "the smallest waists ever" are celebrated as being the most beautiful and the most desirable is what makes us "bigger" girls so pissed off. And we are! Anger levels in young ladies are rising by the minute: http://heartymagazine.com/news/new-study-binge-drinking-young-women-violence

I watched the whole series and really, after the first promo vid, Ann's waist was never emphasized or mentioned again.
11:08 AM on 12/03/2010
OK, so I get that runway models are supposed to be tall, but do they HAVE to be stick thin too? I didn't see one curve on this girl. Great hair but they made her face up like something scary. No wonder there's an unusual fascination with that Kardashian chick. People are craving women who don't look like the crypt keeper.

Actually it was interesting and you are right, Ann is missing curves. She is gawky and insecure and maybe there is something to be said for that. She represents a lot of women who have low self-esteem. Maybe we can celebrate girls who don't get boob jobs, who live with what God gave them. She is magic in front of the camera, and beautiful in her awkwardness. There is room for all types in fashion. Personally I am so tired of looking at fake boobs that I want to puke!
