Jeggings: Yay Or Nay? (POLL)

First Posted: 12/02/10 09:24 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

Ah, jeggings. Not since Uggs has one piece of attire been so polarizing. Conan O'Brien apparently LOVES them, as he confessed on his Wednesday night show (while Tim Gunn watched in horror). If you're on Team Jeggings, send a photo of how you wear them (and tell us why you love them) to style@huffingtonpost.com or tweet it to @HuffPostStyle with hashtag #jeggings.

Quick Poll

Jeggings: Yay Or Nay?

Yay!

Nay.

On some women its a yay and on others its a nay. Best on the young and thin.

BTW yay is spelled yea.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HILLARY IN A PAIR OF THESE.

I love my jeggings......but I wear them with a long top and boots. I don't know who told women to replace pants with leggings. Also, wear a friggin long top and cover your backside...nooone wants to see your cherry underwear!

I don't know I would think it would make things very uncomfortable in your nether regions not mention super hot and possibly a breeding ground for bacteria.

Women with tight bodies, a profounding YES! Otherwise not that attractive. And for men is completely out of the question, unless your'e gay.

If can pull them off, then yay all the way.

Unfortunately, I can't. :(

So once you put them on, you can't pull them off?

I don't have a problem with jeggings per se, I have a problem with people who; don't know how to wear them or are fitting themselves into a size that's 10 sizes (no exaggeration) smaller than their actual size...on the strength of " It stretches"

I would think that an upscale pair would just look and fit exactly like an amazing pair of skinny jeans.

If a woman has the firm thighs, chiseled calves and slender ankles this type of fashion requires, along with a minimum 4 inch feel, then I approve.

Oh, come on... it's been done! Not that long ago either. People were wearing "leggings" in all sorts of materials, including "jean", in the 80's. Big deal.

They hit Miami in 78, became stirrup pants in the late 80's, went to leggings with the big shirt in the early 90's and then became the rage to wear under skirts in the mid 2000's.

Only thing happening with this latest presentation is total lack of creativity.

I shudder at stir up pants. I hope they do not come back. The horrible ankles on those things.

I never wore my stirrup pants without some great socks and an ankle boot. They were so comfy especially with the big shirt.

Why would you post pictures of tweets? Why not post a picture of the subject of the poll?

LOL, I was wondering the same thing.

Agree and the tweets are so annoying

IMO, these things look like long underwear and not a fashion statement! Yuck!
