Sarah Palin, Kate Gosselin Go Camping (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin and Kate Gosselin, two famous reality TV moms, retreated with their children to the woods, going camping in Sarah's most comfortable environment for an upcoming episode of 'Sarah Palin's Alaska.'

Palin and her brood took Gosselin and her eight children into the wilds of Alaska for a bear fighting, gun shooting good time - but Kate didn't seem like too big of a fan of her first time camping. Most objectionable? The food, as hot dogs and berries didn't seem to please her palate.

The Palin and Gosselin children, meanwhile, looked to be having a better time, as did Sarah, who said people from the lower 48 states didn't quite grasp what it was like to live in the wild. No word on whether the Gosselin kids, some of whom were recently asked to leave school due to anger issues (though Kate insists they weren't expelled), told the Palin children that Santa Claus doesn't exist, as RadarOnline.com is reporting they told kids at school.

Also to be watched for: whether Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin bonded over their time on 'Dancing With The Stars.'

This was the dumbest publicity stunt I have ever seen a "politician" pull. "Let's bring a divorced mom of 8 to a show about family values!" And I thought her even having a reality show to begin with was bad..

Don't be rude about it. It's a TV show about Sarah and her family adventuring around Alaska, so what? If you don't like her just say you don't like her, plain and simple. We don't need to hear the millions of reasons why!!!

Sarah Palin's tv show has turned into a great commercial for Alaska. Beautiful land and a family who works together and loves each other.

I doubt Obama could even manufacture that reality.

Kate definitely represented the condensation and scorn that liberals shower on Palin. It was interesting to see Palin and the strength of her family which stood in stark contrast to Kate Gosselin and her family.

I thought it was enlightening.

Mrs. Palin goes camping with a city girl and seems to imply she represents every woman in the lower 48.

I would have liked to have Mrs. Palin with me during my 24 years of military service. I wonder if she would have been so chipper at 2 am when the claxon's went off and there were no cameras around. How about on 40 below flightline in the middle of the night. How about working 12 hours a day in a building with no windows and one bathroom for both men and women.

She should be careful not to stereotype. She knows her camping trip will be over in a couple of days unlike the endless hours waiting to deploy. I personally, think of her as a girly beauty queen who college hopped rather than serve her country. I don't think all Alaskan women are life Mrs. Palin and Mrs. Palin is being narrow minded to think many of us in the lower 48 lived a more rugged life than she did.

There's something about a sudden onset of dysentary in the middle of the Afghan "Desert of Death" that stays with me to this day and suggests that you're right when you call attention to the fact that ms.Palin might not seem quite so chipper in the absence of cameras, hot showers and assistant directors with cups of hot coffee.

Having said that, being totally alone in the middle of a vast empty desert at midnight with a massive full moon lighting up the rocks like daylight, had something of a transcendental nature to it, regardless of the job at hand. :p

Considering Sarah was actually BORN in one of the lower 48 states, you'd think she wouldn't be so narrow-minded as to group Kate Gosslin with the rest of us.

I think the real difference Sarah is grasping at, is between people who enjoy the real outdoors and camping and those that do not. Kate is clearly one of the later.
