Animal Photos Of The Week

Prepare to be captivated by some adorable baby animals in this week's roundup of the best critter photos from around the world. We've got playful baby tigers, a newborn rhino, a tiny elephant and even a handful of puppies to tug at your heartstrings.

Of course, being that it is now December, we have plenty of photos of animals romping around in the fresh snow that recently blanketed Europe. Watch as bears, monkeys and deer get slushy in the white fluff.

I *love* baby animals (and really, who doesn't?). I love them *so much* that I even tried to watch the Big Shots slideshow, like Charlie Brown being suckered in by Lucy to take the kick. But, alas, it was not to be. You win again, Big Shots.

For several years, a Canyon Wren shows up at my house in Colorado during the Winter.

Everyday at about 10:55 am, he actually squeezes into the house through an improbably tiny opening. He cheerfully keeps chirping as he hops all about the house, high and low, looking for any tasty insects. I've actually held him in my hand. He's here right now. It's quite amazing. Even the two cats ignore him now.

this Big Shots slideshow doesn't work for me... only shows me the first one, then when I click Next it goes black. When I click Next again the next picture briefly appears, then it goes black again... is it just me? Can we have a normal slideshow from now on?
