Jane Carrey & Alex Santana SPLIT: Jim Carrey's Daughter Divorcing

Jim Carrey's daughter, Jane, wed musician Alex Santana just a year ago, and the marriage is already over, In Touch Weekly reports. Jane gave birth to a son earlier this year; see pictures of Jim with his grandson here.

In Touch's press release follows:

Just a year after their wedding, Jane Carrey and her husband, Blood Money singer Alex Santana, are calling it quits, a spokesperson for her comedian father, Jim, exclusively confirms to In Touch. "The couple will remain friends, as well as devoted parents to their 9-month-old son, Jackson Riley," Marleah Leslie says. According to a family friend, the 23-year-old Jane Carrey Band front woman and her baby are visiting funnyman Jim in New York, where he is currently filming Mr. Popper's Penguins. Jane's breakup trails her dad's shocking split from longtime love Jenny McCarthy last spring.

Jane and I are not divorcing, we are separated. Basically, because I suck. Jane is an incredible wife and mother, but in all honesty, there are many things I need to work on. Nothing can be done about my hideous looks, but my lack of compassion and understanding must be addressed. I love my family, so hopefully in time, Jane can forgive my shortcomings.

Jim Carrey is the man! He came from nothing; his personal biography suggests nothing that would have created such a magnificent artist of comedy as he has become. Sorry about the situation, Jim. She's probably better off. (good-looking).

Now Jim, I've been waiting for a Dumb & Dumber Sequal, with you and Jeff Daniels in it, for like a decade now... Don't pass up a franchise, please.

She was born before he was even close to being famous. Time flys.. The Mask was made like 15 years ago. He is 45-50 maybe.

besides people live so long these days, I get it if its 1560 and your life span is 33 years if you're lucky but now a days, you have plenty of time for that kind of stuff :)
