she was a true lady in these modern times, handling her life good and bad with a sense of dignity and class we should all aspire to.

It is the lens that we decide to use in our mind’s eye that makes the difference life.

Resilience.
“How easily it would be if God could, if he so willed, set back the world a little turn or two! Correct its grief, and bring its joy again! That's all we want. A little turn or two... Our child will be alive, and the sadness is gone. Just that turn and all these things will go away and we can go back to having our beautiful child. This turn and the misery of having your past and future taken away by something as unpleasant as women with nothing but idle time to spend hanging around outside fancy hotels would be avoided.
But we cannot, they cannot turn back. This is the life we have now, and only way to be resilient when these land mines explode beneath your foundation is first to accept that there is a new reality now in our life. The life the young girl knew before she was married. The life of a mother who sat reading by her child's bed and not his grave. Our old life no longer exists. Back in the day when major companies whose parents and grandparents worked and even their children when they grew up worked there too. These places were known where everyone was family. When there was a death or divorce... We all shared the pain. Now no more.
RIP: Beautiful Elizabeth December 7 2010
